MMCM SHS SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT

A.Y. 2022-2023

Proposal for
PROJECT DULAAN

I. Rationale

The Supreme Student Government’s “Project Dulaan” is a toys and books donation drive that
aims to make sure that kids that live in families with financial challenges receive a toy this
year. The toy drive ensures that all children – their siblings in families who are especially in
need – receive holiday gifts.

II. Donation Drive Guidelines

1. Project Dulaan will start in the second week of November until the end of November.
2. Students in Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao are all encouraged to share and help in
the project. They can help through toy and/or book donations. Here are some ideas:
● Play-Doh (cans with no attachments)
● Medical play kits (doctor’s kits)
● Musical toys
● Pop-up toys
● Bubbles (4 oz bottles or smaller)
● Superhero action figures
● Barbie dolls
● Hard-body baby dolls
● Dinosaurs
● Legos
● Craft and bead kits
● Educational/science kits
● Tabletop games – especially UNO cards and playing cards
● Small white boards with dry-erase Markers (size 8.5" x 11")
● Earbuds and headphones
● Generic coloring books –- no holiday/spiritual references
● Crayola markers and colored pencils –- all sizes.
● Plush, stuffed animals
● Anything handmade, such as knitted or crocheted items including beanies,
blankets, clothing
● “Gently used” items
● Handmade cards and paper items
● Books
3. DULAAN BOXES will be available on the 2nd and 3rd Floors of the School Building.
Students may place their donations in these boxes.
4. DULAAN BOXES shall be collected daily by the SSG Officers assigned. Collected toys
and books will be forwarded to a storage room.
5. Toys collected will be given to the learners of Catigan Elementary School in December
2022.

III. Committee Assignments

Logistics Committee. Heads of the committee will assign members to create the poster for Project
Dulaan. They will have the draft and final output approved by the SSG Executive and Moderator.

Communications and Secretariat Committee. Heads of the committee will reach out to the League
of Presidents to help disseminate the information regarding the project. They will also assign
members of the committee to reach out to the class advisers of all the sections in the high school
department for them to properly disseminate the information to their classes.

Arts and Creatives Committee. Heads of the committee will assign members to create a logo for
the project and design for the Dulaan Boxes to be placed at the 2nd and 3rd floors of the School
Building. They will have the draft and final output approved by the SSG Executive and Moderator.

Social Media and Promotions Committee. Heads of the committee will oversee posting the full
details regarding Project Dulaan on the Supreme Student Government Facebook Page. They must
wait for the approval of the posters and project logo, and the posts must be approved by the SSG
Executive and Moderator before posting.

IV. Dissemination of Information

All the information regarding this drive will be announced in the Supreme Student Government
Facebook Page. The post will be shared by SSG officers and the League of Presidents.

Starting in the second week of November, students can start donating toys and books and place
them inside the DULAAN boxes. The cutoff for donations will be in the last week of November
so SSG officers can organize and prepare for the Donation Drive the following week.
