Subject : Primary Charity and Mini Bazaar

Dear Primary Parents,

Shalom! We would like to inform you that this school year, we will have Primary Mini
Bazaar in September. The rationale of the bazaar is to provide an avenue for the students to
exercise sympathy, empathy, love and care to others through generosity in giving their personal
belongings, especially in this difficult time. Since we are still trying to come out of this pandemic,
therefore, we are going to do the SOSE Charity Bazaar a bit differently. This year, it is the
Primary Mini Bazaar. We have made some adjustments.

Here is our plan for the Primary Mini Bazaar:

Rationale: to provide an avenue for the students to exercise love and care to others through
generosity in giving their personal belongings.

When: Sept 15, 2022 for internal only

Venues: Lunch Area W2 & Dining Room W1B → selling things. Badminton court W2 → for
games booths.

Sellers: G5 & G6 students (70 students). They will be divided into groups of 4, so there will be
around 17 groups.

Booths: Things/belongings and games.

Procedures:

I. In donating:
1. G1 – G6 students can donate their belongings at home that they do not need
anymore but still in good condition and useful for others who need it more.
2. G1 – G6 students can also contribute money instead.

II. Duration for collecting the donations: 15 – 22 Aug 2022.

III. Procedure in donating:

1. If the students choose to donate the preloved belongings, they can submit it to
Ms. Ririn at the Admin. For clothes, kindly have them ironed, cleaned and
wearable. You are highly encouraged to bring the stuff after the arrival or

before the dismissal to avoid a rush. Kindly also provide the list of stuff that
you donate and label the package with name and class.

2. If the students choose to donate money, kindly put the money in an envelope,
write the name of the student, class and the amount of money on the envelope,
and give it to the AT. The AT will record it in the presence of the student, and give
you the receipt. The money later will be submitted to Ms. Yuliana as the SOSE
Coordinator.

IV. The Bazaar:

1. The school will buy the selling items needed for the Bazaar from the money
collected.
2. The school will distribute the selling items bought to the seller groups (G5 and 6)
3. The sellers may also arrange game booths; however, they need to plan and
prepare it well.
4. In order to make purchases, students will have to exchange their money for
coupons first at the cashier. They make purchases and play games using the
coupons.
5. On the D-Day, there will be time allocation for students from G1-4 to go around
and visit the stalls to make purchases, this is to ensure strict control on the crowd
for the safety of everyone.
6. All of money and profit collected will be used for charity.
Notes:
On Sept 17 the school will give back to the community around the school, by providing ‘tebus
murah’ or mini bazaar for them as well.

As it is mentioned in 2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that
in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” Therefore,
let us hand-in-hand in prayer and action, do our best to make this event successful and a
blessing. To God be the Glory.

Sincerely,

Jolanda Sulaiman (Mrs. Angel) Ms. Yuliana Yang
