Calling All Volunteers!

Any time you can donate to AMS is greatly appreciated.

Opportunities include:

Honor Roll Ice Cream parties: three times a year, usually a mid-week afternoon in No-vember, February, and May, from 1- 3 pm, scooping ice cream at our parties to congratu-late honor roll students. Parents who cannot attend can make monetary donations or do-nate toppings, supplies, and/or raffle items. Dragon Den/Dream Shop - parents are welcome to help with Dragon Den (a store open during lunch at which student can purchase school supplies, books, etc. with dragon dol-lars), either staffing or providing donations of supplies and books, or with the Dream Shop (a seasonal shop open around the holidays). Dragon Closet- help is greatly needed - gently used or new uniforms are donated to needy students or students who need to change clothes during the day for any reason. Clothing needs to be laundered and organized. This can be done at any time. Fall Fundraiser delivery day - help is needed with sorting, organizing, and coordinating student pick-up all items purchased during the fall fundraiser. The items come into the school in mid-November. Teacher Appreciation - coordination, serving, set up, and/or donations of food, beverag-es, and raffle items for the teacher/staff back-to-school breakfast in mid-August and the teacher appreciation day breakfast in early May. Pep Rallys- two pep rallies are held each year - back to school in the early fall, and MSA (March 1 this

year), both in the afternoon. Parents can attend, donate raffle items, and help with games. Receipts - Please register your Giant (ww.giantfood.com/our_stores/bonus_bucks) and Safeway (http://backtoschools.escrip.com/) cards with AMS as a beneficiary, and a per-centage of your grocery bill is donated to our school. Box tops - Students bring box tops from General Mills and other participants (top of the box says "box tops for education") to the front office, the students receive dragon dollars, and the box tops are sent in to the Box Tops for Education program. AMS then receives a certain amount of money based on the number of box tops. Attached you will find a sheet you can print out at home to collect the box tops. Students can then return the sheet to the front office once it is filled to receive 20 Dragon Dollars.
