A. Sunday Readings
1. First Reading Sirach 15:15-20
If people want to obey the commandments of God then they may do so. If you follow his
commandments then you will receive life. If you disobey, you will receive death.
2. Second Reading 1 Corinthians 2:6-10
Paul speaks about divine wisdom. Divine wisdom is very different from human wisdom. This is
essentially God’s plan of salvation trough the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
3. Gospel Matthew 5:17-37
Whoever breaks the commandments of God and teaches someone else to do so will be called
least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys this commandments and teaches these will be
called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
B. Relevance
The three readings tells that we should be following the commandments of God. It is our duty as
human beings to follow these commandments and encourage others to do so.
C. How do you live out the message as a:
1. Student- I will obey my teachers. I will obey the policy of the school.
2. Son- I will obey my parents. I will obey the elderly.
3. Civilian- I will obey the law of my country.

A. Sunday Readings
1. First Reading Leviticus 19:1-2.17-18
The Lord is telling Moses to tell the Israelites to love one another. The Lord tells that we should
not feel hatred towards each other.
2. Second Reading 1 Corinthians 3:16-23
We are temples of God. The spirit of God dwells in us. If anyone destroys God’s temple, God
will destroy that person.
3. Gospel Matthew 5:38-48
Jesus tells his disciples to love your enemies. He tells them that they should offer no resistance to
one who is evil. Jesus tells them that they should do this to become children of the heavenly
Father.
B. Reverence
The three readings states that we should love one another. It also says, we should not try to hurt
our neighbors.
C. How do you live out the message as a:
1. Student- I will not hurt my classmates.
2. Son- I will not hurt my brothers. I will not hurt my parents.
3. Civilian- I will not hurt a member of my community.

A. Sunday Readings
1. First Reading Isaiah 49:14-16
The love of god to his people is great. It is similar to the love of a mother to her baby.
2. Second Reading 1 Corinthians 4:1-5
A follower of Christ is a steward of God. A steward of God is required to be found trustworthy.
3. Gospel Matthew 6:24-34
Jesus tells his disciples that they should not worry about their life. Worrying cannot add a day to your
lifespan. Only trust the Lord for what will happen tomorrow. And whatever happens, thank him.

B. Relevance
The three readings tells that we should trust the Lord for whatever may happen to your life. It also says
that we should thank him for whatever may happen to us.

C. How do you live out the message as a:


1. Student- I will trust the Lord for whatever grade I may get but I will study for it to go higher
but I will ask the Lord for help and whatever my grade will be I will accept it for it was given to
me for a reason.
2. Son- I will trust god for whatever happens to my family.
3. Civilian- I will trust God for whatever happens to my country.
