Upgrading your Waveline Touch

The following steps will walk you through unlocking a new parameter on your monitor, setting up the
display, and getting ready to use the monitor. In order to unlock a parameter, a serial number has to
be provided to DRE. That serial number is located within the software of the monitor.

1) After the monitor has been turned on & is at the main monitoring screen, press the setup
button at the bottom of the display.

2) Once you have pressed the Setup button, a new window will open up.
a. On this screen, you will need to press the Optional Modules button

3) Once you press this button, a new window will open up. This menu will contain the Internal Serial
Number of the monitor.
a.This is the serial number that needs to be supplied to DRE in order to unlock the parameter on your
monitor.

4) Once you have been supplied the password by DRE, you will need to input this password into the monitor.
a. In order to input the password do the following
i.Once the monitor has been turned on, press the setup button across the bottom of the monitor
ii.Once this menu opens, press the Optional Modules Button
b. On this menu, you will need to touch the White Box next to the parameter that you are trying to unlock

5) When you press this button, there will be a virtual keypad that opens; here you will need to input the password
that has been supplied to you by DRE.
a.Once you have entered in the password, press the OK button at the bottom of the screen
b.This will exit this window and take you back to the previous window

6) On this screen, the greyed out box that previously said “Off” will now be white allowing you to change
the option to:
a. On for IBP
b. Respironics for CO2
c. Phase In for Gas

7) If you get to this screen and the option is still Greyed out, please check that you entered the password correctly

8) Now that you have unlocked the parameter, we need to setup the display to show the parameter(s)
a.On the Optional Modules window press Ok
i. If you are displaying just one parameter you can press the Waveform Select option

ii. This will open the Waveform Selection box, where you can choice what parameters to display

iii. When you press this button, this will open a new window that will allow you select the desired
parameter to have measured & displayed on the monitor.

b. If you are trying to display more than 3 parameters (ECG, Spo2, Co2, IBP), then we need to change the
number of fields that are shown on the display
i. To change the number of fields, on the System Setup screen, change the display mode from 3
Waveforms to 6 Waveforms
ii. With the display set in 6 Waveforms Display Mode, do the same as above in steps 8.a.i-8.a.iii

9) Now that the monitor is configured to display the appropriate parameters, we need to save those changes
a. In order to save the changes, first be on the System Setup screen
b. Press the Config Manager button in the bottom left corner of the window

10) In the Config Manager screen, press Save Config

11) The new window will ask you to confirm that you wish to save the current monitor configuration
a. Press Yes
i. Once you press Yes, you will see a green bar scroll across the bottom of the screen

12) Once the monitor has completed saving the current configuration of the monitor, you will see
“Save Config Data Success”
