1. INTRODUCTION
Waveline Monitor Upgrade function is done by TCP protocol utilizing the monitor as the
client, while utilizing the PC with Windows 7 or Windows XP operating system as the server.
Default IP address for server (PC) is 10.0.0.220. Portal number is 6666.

2. SETTINGS
2.1 PC IP setup

There are two options that can be used to set up the IP address of your PC:
1. Set up the IP address for the computer as 10.0.0.220.
2. Add a new IP address to the computer as 10.0.0.220.

Option 1: Open “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4）Properties” window, select “Use the
following IP address”, manually type in static IP addresses. Parameters must be set up as below
(Pic. 1):
IP address: 10.0.0.220
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 10.0.0.1
Preferred DNS server: 10.0.0.1

Option 2: If your PC has already been manually setup and you do not wish to change the default
IP settings, utilize this option. Open “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4）Properties” window
(Pic. 2), Click on “Advanced”, open “Advanced TCP/IP Settings” window, click on “IP setup” tab,
add IP address as 10.0.0.220, subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 (Pic. 3).

2.2 Start the program

1. Double click on server.exe. You will see below window in Pic. 4.

2. Click on “Browse”, select the correct file to be loaded as in Pic. 5 and Pic. 6.

3. Click on “OK” to start program. Pic. 7.

3. Initiate the Upgrade Process

1. Using an internet cable, connect the monitor to your PC.
2. Turn the monitor ON. Open Factory Setup menu, type in password “UPGRADE.”, and then
select “OK”. This will start the upgrade process as below (Pic. 8).
NOTE: DO NOT POWER OFF THE MONITOR DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS. POWERING OFF
THE MONITOR MAY BRICK THE MONITOR.

Server Program will show the lists of the names and IP addresses of the monitors connected to
the PC (Pic. 9).

Wait until you see the message Please restart monitor! (Pic. 10).
3. Restart the Monitor.
