Pre-Conduction Report

Antaragni is well known for the cultural vibrance it spreads across the nation. Antaragni’17
is scheduled from 26th to 29th October and the theme of this year is “Suits of Euphoria”.
With this theme, Antaragni’17 tries to incorporate the differents suits of Feeling involved in
it’s 52 competitions in its 52nd edition across 4 days representing the 4 pro-nights of
Antaragni ‘17.

Roadtrip
Roadtrip, the nationwide cultural expedition by Antaragni was/will be organized in the
following cities:

Prelims of various competitions including DJwars, Synchronicity, Jitterbug (group dance),

Antaragni Idol (solo singing), fine arts, quiz competitions, etc were conducted under
roadtrip. Apart from this, Prodigy, the cultural talent hunt for school students, which started
2 years back was continued and successfully conducted in Lucknow, Kanpur; Agra chapter
will be conduted on 5th november. Prodigy saw a similar level participation as last year.

The roadtrips were well covered by local media.

Pro-nites
Pronites are the eagerly anticipated part of any festival. They not only ensure enjoyment for
the crowd but also mark the status of the festival among sponsors, media, artists and other
college festivals. Antaragni’17 will set a landmark in the lanscape of college festival ,
providing the greatest experience for all those who have their eyes on artists and great
shows.

Day 1 – Reverberation
The first pro-nite will be an EDM night. The artists for the night are: DJ KSHMR: Indo-
American DJ, Musician from California currently ranking at 12 in DJMAG
Along with DJ Akade: One of the leading Indian DJ

Day 2 – Fusion Night

Bringing back the 4 pro-nights culture by replacing funk night with Fusion Night. The night
will open with a performance by Winners of COY competition on MTV organised by Maruti
Suzuki,as a part of sponsorship agreement.

This will be followed by the performance by Euphoria, the Band is one of the pioneers of
the Indian pop music wave that hit India in the mid nineties.

Day 3 – Synchronicity
Synchronicity is the biggest rock band competition of India organized by a college cultural
festival. The top bands of Synchronicity competition get to perform on the pro-nite of
synchronicity. This will be followed by the headliner: Sky Harbor. Sky Harbor are a
Progessive metal band, and are the head liners of NH7 weekender Shillong.

This year the night is sponsored by redbull so the stage will be on the Redbull Tour Bus in
the pronites ground ,which will prove to be an entraling experiece for the campus residents

Day 4 – Blitzkrieg
Blitzkrieg, the closing night of Antaragni’17 is one of the most awaited events in the entire
region. Antaragni never disappoints the crowd and ensures that some of the biggest artists
grace the closing night.
This year, the closing night will open with International Carnival event which will be
followed by the final performance.

The final performance will be by Vishal-Shekhar.

Kavi Sammelan
The great kavis who are going to grace this event are:

Classical Night
The artists for classical night are:
• Sharada Mushti
• Milind Tulankar
• Pt.Rajeev Janardan

India Haat
India Haat, one of the prominent events at Antaragni, has taken up the initiative to promote
and celebrate the diverse cultures from the country.

This year we have the following as a part of it:

• Martial arts Group –Assam
• Folk Dance – Rajashthan

Comedy Night
Comedy Night will be organised for the first time in Antaragni, it will feature a 45 min show
by Sumeet Anand.

India Inspired/Talks
Rather than a panel discussion, India Inspired this year will have talks by various renowned
personalities:
• Gen. Subrata Saha
• Col. Hitendra Saini
• Mr. Ashutosh gupta
• Mr. Oscar fernandes

Competitions
Various competitions have been modified and some new ones have been introduced. The
entire list and details of the competitions can be found in Appendix 1.

Various new online/offline competitions have been introduced:

1. Desinador
2. Wanderlogue
3. Polyart
4. Memelocked
5. design based
This year the prize money to the participants will be distributed on-spot thereby catering to
the problem of late dispatching of prize money.

Hospitality
Girls will be given accommodation in Hall 13, GH1, GHT.
Boys will be given accommodation in Hall 2, 3, 4,5, 7, 9, 10, 12 & Type Quarters.

Social Initiatives
The following are the social initiatives and activities conducted for the same by
Antaragni’17:
• Flash mob was conducted on World Environment Day at Z Square mall
• A march was conducted on Independence day followed by a special performance by
prayas students.
• Antaragni’17 will organize a donation drive in orphange in kanpur through KSHMR on
25th october and will spread awareness for same during the festival.
• Swachh Bharat will also be promoted in association with KDA during the 4 days of
the festival.

International Carnival
The following are artists under international carnival this year:

• Magmell – Portugal
• Onogana–Spain

Initiatives
• Remodeled the Ritambhara inviting european models for the fashion walk in
ritambhara.
• Introduced QR Codes to monitor security check on the guest and vip passes.
• Youth Photography Festival was introduced for the first time in india.
• Restructuring of events ground, shifting of hospitality and security room to create
space and increase no. of stalls in events ground.
• Silicone wrist bands to be given in addition to the hospitality booklets.
• All team meet was revamped and conducted in OAT along with DJ night in “Prologue
to Antaragni”
• Comedy Night will be organised for the first time Antaragni.
• KSHMR will be the brand ambasador of the Social initiate in Antaragni taking it to
next level.
ADVENTURE ZONE
• Adventure Zone will be organised on Football Ground.Team Antaragni will be hiring a
vendor who will organize it with a budget of 2,00,000. All the ticketing services will
be done by Team Antaragni. Also team Antaragni will be getting 25% Revenue.

Security
The fines will be imposed on the defaulters on the following basis:

1) Warning INR 200 fine (individual)

2) level 1 INR 1000 fine (individual)
3) level 2 INR 2000 fine (individual) (also Banned from event)
4) level 3 INR 3000 fine (individual) (also Kicked out from campus)
5) level 5 INR 5000 fine (on whole team)
6) level 6 Report to Control Center

The level of warning will depend on the discretion of core team and in case of group, they
will be dealt differently based upon the discretion of core team.
