GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ZENITH 2023

• Zenith 2023 will be held on 17 th & 18 th March 2023.


• Registrations must be made latest by 12th March 2023.
• Registration fee is applicable for all events.
• Only registered students will be allowed to participate in the events.
• All the accompanists and participants must have their identity card of their
respective institute at time of participation.
• No outsider candidate will be allowed for participation in any event.
• No kind of alteration in team/participants is allowed once registrations are done; in
case of any emergency, permission must be sought from organizing committee at
least 5 days before the event.
• The teams should carry an official letter from their respective institute signed
by the competent authority mentioning the names of the participants.
• Maximum two entries in each event will be allowed from one
college/institute/university.
• Late entries will not be allowed.
• Props, dresses, stationery, special equipment etc will not be provided and will
not be compensated for as well.
• Information regarding the events will be available at the Help Desk.
• Organizers will not be responsible for the security of participants' personal
belongings.
• Judges' decision will be final and binding in all events.
• Only the first and second position holder participant(s)/team(s) of all events
will receive the certificates during Valedictory Ceremony of Zenith on 18 th
March 2023.
● If any participant(s), who is not a bonafide student of the participating
college/institute/university is found to be participating at any stage in any event, then
the respective participant/team will be disqualified from the event with immediate
effect.
● If any team/participant is found to be indulged in any indiscipline, illegal and
obscene behavior, then the organizers will have full authority to take strict action
against them, including disqualification from the event.
● The organizers will not be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings/
mishappening/accidents under any circumstances.

DAY-1 (17th March 2023, Friday)

EVENT 1- SOLO SINGING WITH KARAOKE

Time: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

v Team size: 1 Participant per team


v Max participants allowed: 20
v Time Limit: 2-3 minutes
v Participant will have to sing a single song. Medley of songs will not be allowed.
v Choice of song is open to the participants, but the song should not have any
slangs or derogatory language.
v Medium of song must be Hindi or English
v Judgment Criterion:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterion:
1. Rhythm(10 marks)
2. Voice quality and clarity (10 marks)
3. StagePresence and showmanship (10marks)
4. Selection of Song (10 marks)
EVENT 2-TATTOO MAKING

Time: 10:30am to 12:30 pm

v Theme for Tattoo Making: Divine


v Team size: 2 Participant per team
v Max teams allowed: 20
v Time Limit: 60 minutes
v In this event, the tattoo artistwill make tattoo on the body part of another
teammate.
v Tattoo can be made by brushes, paints and sponge etc. Candidates will use their
own material.
v No external help like internet is allowed during the event.
v Unfinished tattoos will not be considered for judgement.
v Judgment Criteria:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Theme depiction (10 marks)
2. Neatness (10 marks)
3. Colour Coordination(10marks)
4. Creativerepresentation (10 marks)
EVENT 3 - INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Time: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

v Team size: 1- 3 participants per team.


v Max team allowed: 15
v Time Limit: 5 min
v The competition is open to all the instrumentalists. All instruments are allowed like
woodwinds, Brass, Strings, Keyboard, Piano, Congo etc.
v Participants must arrange their own instrument for the competition.
v Judgment Criteria’s:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Rhythm (10 marks)
2. Degree of Difficulty (10 marks)
3. Stage Presence (10 marks)
4. Tone (10 marks)
5. Techniques (10 marks)

EVENT 4- GROUP DANCE

Time: 10:30 am to 1:30 pm

v Team size: 8 -16 participants per team.


v Max team allowed: 15
v Time Limit: 5 min
v All dance forms are allowed.
v Teams have to arrange their own props and costume.
v Medley of songs is not permissible.
v Participant need to bring their own song in the pendrive.
v Any obscenity & vulgar moves will lead to disqualification of the team.
v Judgement criteria :
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Dancing style (10 marks)
2. Coordination& expressions (10marks)
3. Costume (10marks)
4. Choreography (10 marks)
5. Audience Impact (10 marks)

EVENT 5- TRASHART (BEST OUT OF WASTE)

Time: 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

v Team size: 2-3Participants per team


v Max team allowed: 20
v Time Limit: 75 minutes
v Only waste material should be used. Other stationary things like fevicol, scissors,
stapler, tape etc. are allowed.
v The participants need to bring their own waste material. Use of partial, whole or
readymade model and any other unfair means will directly lead to disqualification.
v Unfinished art would not be accepted from participant in competition.
v The recycled product should be useful.
v Judgment Criteria’s:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Creativity (10 marks)
2. Utility of product (10 marks)
3. Eco-friendly rating (10 marks)
4. Presentation. (10 marks)

EVENT 6 -RANGOLI

Time: 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

v Theme for Rangoli Making: Floral


v Team size: 1-3 participants per team
v Max teams allowed: 10
v Time Limit: 90 minutes
v Use of rangoli colorsand other eco-friendly materials, such as flowers, leaves,
grass, stems/twigs, grains, lentils, sand etc.are allowed. Use of any other medium
can be done with prior permission of the event coordinator.
v Use of stencils is prohibited.
v No electronics / hand notes / reference material will be allowed for reference
during the contest.
v Rangoli should be prepared from scratch. No part of the Rangoli can be premade
before arriving at the competition.
v We encourage everyone to draw a traditional rangoli rather than art work
v Judgment Criteria:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Theme depiction (10 marks)
2. Creativity (10 marks)
3. Details, clarity and colors coordination (10marks)
4. Overall presentation (10 marks)

EVENT 7-NUKKAD NATAK

Time: 2pm-4pm

v Team size: 10-25 Participant per team


v Max teams allowed: 15
v Time Limit: 15-20 minutes
v The Play should be in Hindi only.
v The Play should revolve around social cause or convey any social message.
v Each member of a team must perform in the act.
v Any slangs, abusive languages, violent actions are not allowed while delivering
dialogues and may lead to disqualification.
v Judgment Criteria:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Preparedness, Props, Well-rehearsed (10marks)
2. Coordination of the team (10marks)
3. Script (10 marks)
4. Dialogue Delivery (10 marks)
5. Concept (10 marks)
DAY-2 (18thMarch 2023, Saturday)

EVENT 8 -REEL IT UP

Time: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

v Theme – Bollywood Hook Steps


v Team size: 1-3 participants
v Max teams allowed: 15
v Time Limit: 60 Seconds
v Teams must prepare a reel of not more than 60 seconds on any famous minimum 5
and maximum 8 hook steps.

v Submittedreel must be original and created by the participants.
v Submitted Reels will be uploaded on GIBS Instagram Page on 10th March 2023,
11:59pm.
v All the submitted videos will be scrutinized before uploading on GIBS Instagram
page. The videos in no manner should contain any content which showcases hatred
towards any religion or community, gender, caste, or political oriented vibe in any
form. Also, there shouldn’t be use of any abusive or explicit content in the reel video
or any other objectionable matter.
v Hook steps involving vulgar steps, slangs, abusive languages, violent actions must
be avoided.
v Judgment Criteria:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Adherence to theme (10 marks)
2. Dancing Skills (10 marks)
3. Overall impact (10 marks)
4. Editing and cinematography (10 marks)
5. Expressions (10 marks)

EVENT 9 - COOKING WITHOUT FLAME

Time: 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm

v Team size: 1-3 participants


v Max teams allowed: 20
v Time Limit: 90 minutes
v In this event, each team must prepare one drink and one salad /snack.
v Participants are required to bring their own raw material (fully/partially cooked
material are not allowed).
v Participants must bring their own cutleries and plates for presentation.
v No provision for stove/oven will be given. Use of flame is not allowed.
v Alcoholic items are not allowed.
v All participants must leave their working area clean after preparation is over.
v Participants need to arrange their own disposable items (paper
plates/glasses/Spoon) for serving their dishes and drinks to judges.
v Judgment Criteria:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Taste (10 marks)
2. Presentation(10 marks)
3. Skills used in chopping and assembling (10 marks)
4. Originality and Creativity (10 marks)

EVENT 10 -SOLO DANCE

Time: 10:30 am to 1:00 pm

v Team size: 1 participant


v Max participants allowed: 20
v Time Limit: 4-5 minutes.
v All dance forms are allowed.
v Participantsmust arrange their own props and costume.Props related to fire are
prohibited.
v Participant need to bring their own song in the pendrive.
v Any obscenity & vulgar moves will lead to disqualification.
v Judgment Criteria’s:
Final judgment will be based on the following criterions:
1. Dancing style (10 marks)
2. Performance&Expressions (10marks)
3. Costume (10marks)
4. Choreography (10 marks)

EVENT 11- GEO TAG HUNT

Time: 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm

v Team size: 2participants


v Time Limit: 60 min
v Max teams allowed: 15
v Teams will be registered on FIRST CUM FIRST SERVE BASIS.
v Clues will be hidden, which have to be found and treasure is to be found in the
shortest time.
v Point value will be assigned for each clue that is found during the treasure hunt.
v Teams should pick up only one copy of the clue at each location.
v If any team that tries to physically obstruct the hunt for the other teams, it would be
disqualified.
v Outside help is not permitted during the treasure hunt.
v Judgment Criteria’s: Shortest time

EVENT 12-FASHION MANIA

Time: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

v Theme :“Bollywood”
v Max participants allowed:10 each for Mr. & Ms. ZENITH
v There will be three rounds: Ramp Walk with introduction, Talent Round and
Question - Answer Round.
v Round 1: Each participant must introduce themselves in 2 minute, along with ramp
walk.
v Judgment Criterion for Round 1:
Final judgment of round 1 will be based on the following criterions:
Appropriateness of the outfit (10 marks)
Makeup and appeal (10 marks)
The Walk (10 marks)
Confidence (10 marks)
v Best 5 contestants will be selected in each category for Round 2.
v Round 2:Participants must present their talent at the time of event.
v Judgment Criterion for Round 2:
Final judgment of round 2 will be based on the following criterions:
Talent uniqueness (10 marks)
Performance (10 marks)
Confidence (10 marks)
Impact on audience (10 marks)
v Best 3 contestants will be selected in each category for Round 3.
v Round 3: Participants will pick up a question from a pot to be answered in front of
judges.
v Judgment Criterion for Round 3:
Final judgment of round 3 will be based on the following criterions:
Confidence (10 marks)
Thought put in to answer (10 marks)
Relevance to the question (10 marks)
