Important Events done by the Rotaract Club

1. Oral Health Webinar


participants: 40

The keynote speaker was Dr. Amrita Gogia, Head of Department at Medanta hospital. She
discussed dental health and cleanliness. She mentioned her everyday oral habits.
2. Decoding Overthinking

Ms. Anandita Anand, NLP Practitioner, has been the evening's guest speaker. She demonstrated
how to live a stress-free existence in the Corona Age and prescribed moderate exercise for 15-20
days.

3. Pride of Clothing

220 kg of clothing, toys, games, kitchenware, and footwear to assist the poor in gaining access to
basic necessities.

4. Bachpan Bachao

The webinar's featured speaker was Captain Ruma Peter. It was about raising awareness about
child abuse.

5. Animal Feeding Drive

Members of the group headed out to feeding the street animals to commemorate International Animal Day.

The purpose of organizing is to enjoy a meal with the folks and interact with them. It is conducted
to share joy and love.

bravely revealed her tale and how she recovered to become an example to other victims.

Our club had organised a zonal event. The fellowship gathering brought together three distinct
clubs.

The Rotaract NCU planned a celebration to commemorate the DOV and the appointment of
Rtr Ruchika Sharma and Team.

To give meals at Tau Devi Lal Old Age Home in Sector 4, Gurgaon, and to engage in
conversation or a session with the inmates to brighten their day.

14. 2 Teach is 2 touch lives 4 Ever
RaC NCU partnered with the University's Yukti Club to commemorate Teacher's Day on
September 1st-5th. Many students participated in the event by creating cards for faculty members
online and in person. They expressed their appreciation for the professors.

15. Nest Box

Our club held a bird awareness drive from September 28th to September 30th. Members
participated in building nests for birds and raising awareness in the community about bird safety
and environmental conservation. The top performer in the nest formation received Rs. 100.

16. Project Uphaar (Flagship Project – “Kadam Se Kadam”)

RaC NCU celebrated International Literacy Day in the slums on September 8th. The club
gathered stationery and provided it to the youngsters, such as pencils, scales, and erasers. Our
volunteers had a lot of fun teaching kids how to write their names

17. Project Aviral (Flagship Project – “Kadam Se Kadam”)


On September 30th, our group went to a slum and attempted to change the children's practice of
drinkable water from polythene bottles. We presented them with plastic containers and a 10L
water tank so they could drink clean water.

18. Food Wing


As part of our monthly initiative, our club served home-cooked food to slum youngsters
on September 29th. Each member purchased 3-5 food boxes for them. We attempted to
help them in every way we could.

19. SPREAD JOY NOT GERMS

 About the project


A joint event between the Rotaract Club of NCU and the Rotaract Club of Indigenous Beings in
Delhi. The event's major slogan was "Spread Joy, Not Germs."

Members of the Rotaract Club and the Faculty of NorthCap University (NCU) participated in
raising awareness.The event was planned to bring joy by distributing face masks to the society's
needy and underprivileged members.

NCU members and faculties donated masks to helps, domestic employees, social guards, and
others.Photographs of the event were also posted on the site Instagram account of the NCU
Rotaract Club.

20. SUICIDE PREVENTION IN THE AGE OF CORONA


 About the project
On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10, 2021, the NorthCap
University Rotaract Club, in collaboration with Manovriti, the Psychology club, conducted a
webinar on "Suicide Prevention in the Age of Corona."

Dr. Surabhika Maheshwari, professor at I.P College for Women, Delhi University, and Ms.
Ankita Deshmukh, clinical psychologist in Pune, spoke during the event. It was a really
participatory workshop in which extremely significant concerns and how to avoid such scenarios
were covered.

Ms. Pallavi Bajpai, the Faculty Mentor, also talked with the speakers a few very typical topics
like depression, anxiety, despair, and so forth. Students from many departments and colleges
were present. The webinar had between 150 and 160 attendees.

21. HINDI DIWAS


 About the Project
The Rotaract Club of The NorthCap University celebrated "Hindi Diwas" online with
passion on September 14, 2021. All of the club members stood forward to read Hindi
poetry. It was an awesome platform for them to acquire confidence by performing on
stage.

Everyone was overjoyed after such impressive performances. Ms. Pallavi Bajpai, the
club's mentor, praised each participant for putting in the effort.

Ms. Surbhi Singh, a faculty member, delivered a magnificent poem that filled the air with
affection and admiration for our national language, which was one of the ceremony's
highlights.

22. INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FOR LAW IN UK


 About the Project

The Rotaract Club of NorthCap University, Gurugram organised a webinar in collaboration with
IDP Education on January 19th for the benefit of students who aspire to study abroad,
particularly in the United Kingdom.
The webinar had around 70-80 attendees. There were concerns made about present policies and
the educational system.
The webinar was a resounding success.

23. DOG COLLARING EVENT


 About the Project
The Dog Collaring event was organised on February 15th by the Rotaract Club of NorthCap
University, Gurugram for the welfare of street canines that are hurt or killed owing to the
recklessness of street vehicles.

A total of 107 dogs were collared.

This would aid in the prevention of canine injuries and deaths caused by nighttime accidents.
Dog food was also given to the stray dogs.
The event was a smashing success.

24. MENSTRUATION AND HYGIENE


 About the Project
The Rotaract Club of NorthCap University, Gurugram, organised a webinar on 'Menstruation and
Hygiene' on March 2nd as part of Project "Saral." Dr. Gunjan Bhola was the evening's featured
speaker.

The webinar was attended by around 60 participants.

Many attendees were able to get answers to their questions about menstruation thanks to the
webinar. The event was a smash hit.

25. BLOOD DONATION CAMP
 About the Project

On March 7, 2022, a district effort called "Blood Donation Camp" was planned with the help of
Rotaract Clubs of DAVIM, Faridabad Aravalli, and Young Souvenirs to meet the need for blood.

A large number of Rotaractors took part in the contribution campaign. The event was a smashing
success.
26. WEBINAR
 About the Project

The Rotaract Club of Ingenious Beings hosted a webinar on 'Everything you need to
know about becoming Cupverted' on April 10th as part of Project "Saral." Ms. Tanya
Chadha was the evening's guest speaker. NorthCap University's Rotaract Club assisted
with the project.

The webinar was attended by 45-50 individuals.

Many attendees were able to get answers to their questions about menstruation thanks to
the webinar. The event was a smashing success.

27. DONATION DRIVE – HELPING HANDS


 About the Project

The NorthCap University Rotaract Club cooperated with Helping Hands NGO and
provided a little sum of their efforts in delivering meals to covid-19 patients in and
around Faridabad.

Through our instagram handle, the club tries to raise awareness and revenue for the
NGO.

Each member of the club participated for the noble cause by posting awareness messages
on their social media handles for quite a number of days.

28. Public Speaking Workshop (11th March)
On March 11, 2022, the NorthCap University Rotaract Club hosted a public speaking training.
Mr. Amandeep Thind, a society Professional Speaker, Trainer, as well as Empowerment Coach,
had been welcomed as the guest speaker. The workshop's major goal was to educate students
how to overcome their fear of public speaking, as well as how to improve their skills in this area.
The speaker also intended to inspire kids to be their biggest supporters, to believe in themselves,
and to teach them important life skills.
29. Parichit (31st March)
The Northcap University Rotaract Club, in partnership with the Shaan Foundation, organised the
event. “परिचित” - Collective Constitutionality in an Age of Growing Individualism, UPSC Civil
Services Exam Journey

The event took place on March 31, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. Mr. Anurag Trivedi, a notable teacher
and social worker, spoke to the pupils on the value of belonging and togetherness within the
nation.

Also presented crucial historical lessons that we may instil in our children. The incident left us
wondering how we should base our judgments and what influence they will have on our society,
just like the renowned Bhagat Singh!
