I-RATIONALE

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has affected day to day life and is slowing down the

global economy. This pandemic has affected thousands of peoples, who are
either sick or are being killed due to the spread of this disease. This pandemic

has rapidly affected our day to day life, businesses, disrupted the world trade
and movements. parents are experiencing emotional tensions, worry,

depression and distress on how their students continue their learning amidst

of this pandemic. In addition to worries and anxieties related to the COVID-19
outbreak, the economic situation has suddenly worsened with unprecedented
rising levels of unemployment in the rst three months of COVID-19 in the U.S.
(Kochhar, 2018), resulting in nancial hardship for many families. Moreover,
external support by other family members may be disrupted and social support
systems may fade away due to social distancing measures.

Project Tulay sa Kalampusan is an innovation to lend a helping hand to the

housewives, and out of school youths in the community who doesn't have an

existing job or connected in a public or private entities. Project Tulay sa

Kalampusan is a livelihood and skills training program that will assists them in

gaining understanding, knowledge, idea and skills on the different dishes,
baked/unbaked goods so that important livelihood and income-generating

skills can be taught to the parents in these communities to enable them to


make a living or augment their incomes to support their families.
II. OBJECTIVES
Create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the housewives and out of

school youths in different communities.
Strengthen the community organization by facilitating livelihood and skills
training as well as community participation.
Granting bene ciaries with the different kitchen tools and equipment to be
used for their entrepreneurial activities.

III. TARGET BENIFICIARIES

of Kabasalan are the target bene ciaries.

VI. MONITOING AND EVALUATION

The resource person Mr. Joven E. Estolatan of Kabasalan National High School
will be the one who will facilitate the said livelihood and skills training program,

the bene ciaries are the housewives and out of school youths of selected
barangays of the municipality of Kabasalan Zamboanga Sibugay. Mr. Gerson

Deita and company are the sponsoring group of this project. This project will be

done every Saturday in brgy. hall (venue) to ensure 100% participation of the

trainees. Every after training, there is attendance sheets to be administered to
monitor the attendance and evaluation forms for feedback and improvement of

future trainings.

VII. SUSTAINABILITY PLAN


The needs to be sustained are the resources in terms of ingredients, tools and

equipment and other nancial matters for purchasing kitchen kits for granting
bene ciaries after the skills training. The said project needs also the resource

person, venue and other training facilities in order to produce competent
trainees.

In terms of the ingredients, tools and equipment needed in the training, it will

shouldered by Sam's Cuisine, a small restaurant locally found in the town of
Kabasalan owned and managed by Mrs. Eleen Grace Tan Estolatan our partner
in this project. In terms also of the Kitchen kits to be given to the trainees after

the training, will be sponsored by Sir Gerson Deita, a Heat Teacher III of

Kabasalan National High School and Rev. Eddie Deita, a Head and Senior
Pastor of King Jesus Fellowship in Kabasalan and a member of council in the
same town.
