1. What for you is folk dancing?

Another name for cultural dance is folk dance. It is learned in accordance with the
individual's culture or ancestry. Some cultures teach dancing to preserve their culture.
Others transmit history to future generations. Dance is a form of self-expression in the
modern period. Time is fluid, and there is always something to learn, according to history.
Folk dance is a visual expression of folk songs. Here even in English terminology folk
means people. These songs and dances are generally said by an unknown person. I came
to know that in earlier days these songs were sung by women in their agricultural and other
rural fields while working. They generally represent their culture in their words, slang in
songs and in body language, and costumes in dance. They are of different kinds which
showcase the emotions of situations that are happening around them and are so inspiring
and thought-provoking.
Hip-hop, western dance, and other forms of dance are currently popular. Those are
the people who overlook the beauty of traditional dances. Folk dances are dances that our
forefathers established many years ago. Folk dancing is a vital part of our history and is both
cultural and religious, so we must make an effort to preserve it alive. Folk dance is not only a
fun way to learn a new dance form, but it may also be beneficial. Folk dance is an activity
where you can bond with others through the beautiful style of dance. The moves taught may
appear in various kinds of modern dance. Finally, whether or not someone enjoys the dance
is a personal decision. Classical and folk dances appeal to me because of their grace,
beauty, and ferocity. Simply follow your heart.

2. How do you differentiate folk dance and traditional dance?

Traditional dancing is a phrase that can refer to folk dance or even ceremonial
dance. When the emphasis is on the dance’s cultural roots, the term “traditional” is more
commonly employed. Traditional dances, on the other hand, are not commonly thought to
have a ritual origin or purpose.
Folk appears to be a more acceptable phrase for general use in regard to this
project, as it does not imply the antiquity or legitimacy that the term 'traditional' might
sometimes imply. In some sense, the term "traditional" is very broad: there are many
"traditions" out there that aren't relevant to the project.
While folk in (archaic) a grouping of lesser peoples or tribes as a nation, tradition is
an aspect of a culture that is carried down from person to person or generation to
generation, potentially varied in detail from family to family, such as how to observe holidays.
