1.0 BUSINESS DESCRIPTION


The intended business will bear the name “ TUMAINI FASHION SALON” in Kitale town.

It will be a sole proprietorship type of business dealing with hair care services that is perm, blow
– dry, plaiting.

The products to be offered are, selling hair buds hair oil and other cosmetics.

The business aims at staying the needs of customer by giving then the best services and in return
the owner gets profits.

2.0 MARKET PLAN


The potential customers of the business are domestic customer and institutional customers.
Domestic customers include individual customers that is resident and travelers

Institutional customers include those customers from educational and social institutions that are
located in or near town.

The business will capture a market share and size of 30 % c (200) of customers per year out of a
population of 40,000 people.

The business will compete with three competitors of the same fixed of business.

The business will be giving services to customer directly. Also it will be advertising through
posters which will amount to Kshs 1,000 at the initial stage per month.

3.0 ORGANIZATION / MANAGEMENT PLAN

The business organization structure will have (6) employees. That is the proprietor that is the
manager’s supervisor, two Saloon hairdressers, Account clerk and a watchman.
The business categories qualifications, duties and responsibilities for every employee.

The recruitment and training of the employees will be done selflessly and with no form of
favorite. Remuneration of personnel will amount to Kshs 14,000 Monthly.

License and permits will be obtained at supportive services such as consultant advises from
Robin School of hardworking, postal services and bank service which will assist in the smooth
and proper running of the business.

1.0 OPERATIONAL PLAN


The proposed business will purchase its operational facilities at a cost of Kshs 23,000 and
monthly labor expenses will amount at Kshs 6,000. The business premise will be rental costing
Kshs 3,000 per month.

5.0 FINANCIAL PLAN

The Salon will have pre – operational cost of Kshs 50,000 which will aid in the contribution
margin of Kshs 283,550 will be realized in the 1st year of service.

The desired financing will be Kshs 194760/=which will bear equal figure to that of proposed
capitalization.
