Emcee’s Script

Introduction:

Alexa: Wayne Gerard Trotman believes that happiness is not to be found at the bottom of a bottle or from the tip of a
needle; it is not to be found amidst a cloud of smoke or within a sugar-coated pill. If you look for it in these places, you
will find naught but despair.

Claire: Good morning everyone! Good morning Ubaynista! Welcome to the Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign Symposium.
A program of the Barkada Kontra Droga of Ubay National High School.

National Anthem and Opening prayer:

Alexa: To formally start this symposium may I request everyone to stand for the Philippine national anthem to be
followed by the opening prayer to be led by Prinzmar Ace Acedo, and please remain standing for the ZANORTE hymn
and Labason Hymn by an audio-visual presentation.

Opening Remarks:

Claire: To begin this program, we are pleased to have our ever-active and supportive principal, Dr. George C. Templado
to deliver the opening remarks.

After opening remarks:

Alexa: Thank you sir George for that wonderful remarks….and now may I call in Mrs. Andevie B. Iguana our BKD adviser
and NDEP coordinator for the statement of purpose.

Claire: Thanks ma’am Iguana…now before we proceed to the main part of this program, let us be entertained first by an
intermission number to be given to us by Alexxa Rikka Genil. Let’s give her a round of applause!

After Intermission:

Alexa: Thank you Miss Genil for that angelic voice. At this point may I call in Alnest Bianca Wamar to introduce the first
speaker.

Session 1

Claire: Thank you Sir Marvin Santos for that very informative talk. If anyone has questions kindly reserve that one in our
open forum later….and now to introduce the second speaker, may I call in Angelo Suan.

Session 2

Alexa: Thank you, Ma’am Jessica, for sharing your knowledge about the effects of alcohol and tobacco…. To introduce
our last speaker, may I call in Beatrice Faye Domen.

Session 3

After Session 3

Claire: Thank you Ma’am Santisas although it’s not drug-related I’m sure we’ve learned a lot. Are you still there
Ubaynista? Have you learned something from our three speakers? You can throw your questions to either of the three
speakers now…. I’m sure they would be pleased to answer them.

After the questions:

Alexa: At this juncture, may I request Sir George Templado and Ma’am Iguana to award these certificates to our
speakers….May I read the citation…(read citation)….another certificate of Appreciation with the same citation to be
given to …….another certificate of appreciation with the same citation to be given to……(give all the certificates)

Claire: To end this very educational and informative symposium, may I request Adrianne Jacinto for his closing remarks.

Alexa: The Barkada Kontra Droga Adviser and Officers of Ubay National High School would like to extend our deep
gratitude to all the Teachers and Staff who have always been very supportive of all our school programs and activities.
