People should be
encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified tradespeople such as
electricians or plumbers.To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Introduction:
1. Hook : vocational training is considered a dishonorable escape route for those who are not smart
enough to attend colleges
2. Background: that the scarcity of qualified craftsmen, such as construction workers, electricians or
locksmiths
3. Counter-argument: it is getting more acute, some have suggested that more people should be
encouraged to undergo vocational training.
4. Thesis Statement: There are multiple benefits that can be derived from attending trade schools,
instead of universities.

1. Topic sentence: applying to a profession needs a certain educational qualification for some
reason.
2. Supporting idea 1: passing through years of academic education enhance our theoretical and
practical knowledge in our field of interest
3. Supporting idea 2 : university classes encourage their students to do research and prove
something in the scientific process while this will not be available without academic education
4. Concluding sentence: any person can put braces on someone's teeth but only a dentist that has
passed the certification knows how to get the braces in a proper position
