Q.4 (a) An investor has right to receive Rs. 25000 from the property after a period of 03
9 years. Assuming the rate of interest as 8%, find out the amount for which
the investor will be ready to relieve his future right over the property.

is 75 years. Determine the depreciation in 30th year of life by straight-line
method, constant percentage method and sinking fund method at 8%
compound interest. The scrap value of building is 10% of its construction
cost.
(c) Workout the quantities of the following items for the given figure of the 07
residential building.
1. First class brickwork with lime mortar for walls in foundation and
plinth.
2. First class brickwork with cement mortar (1:4) for walls in
superstructure.

has to set aside from his income per year for his future expenditure at 2.50%
rate of interest? What is the true return on his capital?
