To Whom It May Concern,

It is a great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Joaquin Rayford. I have known

Joaquin for the entirety of his high-school years and it has been a pleasure serving as his Study Skills

teacher at Buckingham Collegiate Charter Academy. Over the course of that time, he has grown into a

student who excels in both his academic and personal pursuits.

As Joaquin’s teacher, I have watched him exhibit a strong work ethic and a dedication to his success,

and the success of others, first hand. Joaquin is a model student. His perserverance and dedication to his

work have served him well, as is evident in his grade history, current grade point average, and his

spotless discipline record. He strives to have all his assignments completed ahead of schedule and

successfully utilizes resources (i.e. conducting research through the use of technology or primary

sources) when necessary. He is an active member in all his classes. He willingly participates in class

discussion and always has valuable input for any discussion. He inspires other students to find their

voices and become active members on their own education team. When he encounters an obstacle, he

strives to find a way to overcome it or use it to his benefit. When he stumbles, he learns from his

mistakes, and does not repeat them. In fact, he uses what he has learned to improve who he is.

Joaquin’s academic strengths are equaled by his personal strengths. Not only does he place a high

value on his academic success, he places that same value on the academic success of his fellow students.

A prime example of his compassion is evident in his willingness to work with students who may not

understand the subject content that is being taught. Joaquin will work with students in an effot to help

them succeed. He is always willing to answer any questions a student has and will patiently work with

them until they feel successful. He feels comfortable helping them with academics, as well as social

issues. He is esteemed by his peers as well as all who have had the pleasure of teaching him.

Joaquin has worked very hard to make sure he is academically successful. He understands the

importance of good work ethic, hard work, and responsibility. I am sure that Joaquin would be a

valuable asset to any company for which he chooses to work.
