ONLINE EVENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
An event may be considered as a display of some events in which some guests or participants are
invited for a particular time span. Events can be classified as different types like cultural
celebrations, Business events like conferences and product launch and promotions, wedding
ceremony, college events and so on. Coming to an Event Management System it may be
regarded as a platform to manage events for event managers and portal for participants.
Online event management allows you to manage your event using technology solutions. Online
event management software helps enhance event-goers' experience, but it also makes the event
planner's life easier by making the event planning process more seamless.
The objective of this application is to develop a system that effectively manages all the data
related to the various events that take place in an organization. The purpose is to maintain a
centralized database of all event related information. The goal is to support various functions and
processes necessary to manage the data efficiently.

The event management system should be capable of displaying the following information om
their online system:
1. It provides the user a choice to select from list of events categorized under different genre. To
understand use of this online portal, consider the flow of actions that takes place.
2. In application user can login, after login one can track event details like participant’s name,
contact details, postal address, venue, date and time of the event, expenditures and revenue of
events etc.
3. Registration data is directly accessed and checked by admin to arrange things accordingly
with the help of site administrator.
 The admin can add main event and sub-event
4. The system provides various options like viewing, adding, updating, deleting and report
generation for customer details.
5. The system provide facility to login and logout from the system.
The on-line event facility should allow the customer to carry out the following tasks:
1. To enter into the site user has to register himself/herself first user has to add
 First name, last name, full name
 Email id, password, confirm password
2. The user should use his/her id for checking status of events on event management system
 Event selected successfully, also can see all details.
3. Users should be able to make changes to events, including time, date, status and services
needed, without having to cancel and redo an entire reservation in the system.
4. By this application user can login, after login one can track event details like participant’s
name, contact details postal address, venue, expenditures and revenue of events etc.
5. Checking for payment method user should pay advance money online when booked the
reservation.

The benefits of this system will be:

 The user gets all the resources at a single place instead of wandering around for these.
 This system is effective and saves time and cost of the users.

PROCESS MODEL

Teams use the agile development methodology to minimize risk (such as bugs, cost overruns,
and changing requirements) when adding new functionality. In all agile methods, teams develop
the software in iterations that contain mini-increments of the new functionality. There are many
different forms of the agile development method, including scrum, crystal, extreme programming
(XP), and feature-driven development (FDD).
Agile teams are in constant touch through daily check-ins and frequent meetings. So, everyone
knows what’s happening with the event—at what stage it is, what needs be done, and what issues
have been solved. Everyone is always in the know and no one misses out on any critical
information. At the same time, you also keep the client and other stakeholders involved in the
event with routine meetings. Agile planners are also better suited to adapt to changing trends in
the industry. They don’t just accept change, they anticipate it especially if the change benefits
their attendees so they’re the first ones to keep pace with the latest developments, be it in event
tech or otherwise. By being agile, you not only make your current event thrive, but you also
constantly improve your event strategy this means every event becomes better than the previous
one.
Agile planning stresses getting the work done on time when the need is there even if this means
you haven’t perfected it. So, there is always scope for more learning and improvement. It stresses
feedback, self-assessment, and reiterations—the process never ends. Every time you host an
event, you study it for flaws and fix them in the next one. This way, you stay in touch with the
times, relentlessly refining your strategy to ensure that your events never go out of date. The
primary benefit of agile software development is that it allows software to be released in
iterations. Iterative releases improve efficiency by allowing teams to find and fix defects and
align expectation early on. They also allow users to realize software benefits earlier, with
frequent incremental improvements.
In other hand the waterfall development method is often slow and costly due to its rigid
structure and tight controls. These drawbacks can lead waterfall method users to explore other
software development methodologies.
