Conserving resources

What is conserving resources? -sam

 Resource conservation means reducing the amount of solid waste that

is generated and preventing the environment from being defoliate.
Earth’s natural resources include air, minerals, plants, soil, water and
wildlife. Conservation includes the core and protection of these
resources so that they remain available for future generation. Resource
conservation mainly involves genes and ecosystems. Conservation
practices involve land conservation, water conservation, soil
conservation, water management, community development and
protection of other environment needs.

 Conservation of resources is the ethical and sustainable use and

the protection of valuable natural resources by humans.
 These resources include all the natural wealth, both
renewable and non-renewable, on this planet like air, water,
minerals, soil, plants and crops, animals, oil and gas, timber, etc.
 These are the resources that provide the basic sources or needs of
living like water, food, clothing and shelter.
 The ever surging population and the resultant urbanization and
industrialization are the main causes of depletion or destruction
of these resources.
 Hence, these resources should be conserved and renewed to
meet the demand and supply of the present and the future needs.
Ways how to conserve natural resources

 Use less water. Taking shorter showers or turning off the faucet while
brushing your teeth can reduce water waste in your home.
 Turn off the lights.
 Use renewable energy.
 Recycle.
 Compost.
 Choose reusable goods.

Why Conserving natural resource is important?

 Humans rely on natural resources for survival, but not all natural
resources are renewable. The food and water we consume, the
air we breathe, and the shelter we make all derive from natural
resources, so we must take steps to conserve what we have to
encourage the health and longevity of both the planet and
humankind. Human activity, mainly the use of nonrenewable
resources like fossil fuels, is responsible for the massive spike in
climate change. By conserving our natural resources, we can
reduce greenhouse gas emissions and have a more positive
impact on our natural environment.

 People need some natural resources to stay alive. They use others
to make their lives better. We have to conserve our natural
resources since many of them are limited. Conserve means to
protect something from harm or destruction.

 As the population of the world is increasing at an alarming rate,

the consumption of natural resources is also increasing. Hence,
these resources should be conserved to maintain ecological
balance and save them for future generations.
Why do we need to conserve our resources? -Christel

 To repair some of the damage done by humans and maintain the

environment for future generations.
 To maintain species diversity for our benefit and that of wildlife.
 To provide opportunities for education and the enjoyment of
the environment.

What are the simple resources that we need?

 Food. To provide energy needed to keep the body breathing and

alive, for movement and warmth, and for growth and repair of
tissues.
 Water. Carries nutrients and oxygen to cells. Lubricates joints.
Lessens burden the on kidneys and liver by flushing out waste
products. Helps dissolve minerals and nutrients to make them
accessible to your body.
 Air. People need to breathe, and so do lots of other animals—and
plants! Breathing is part of a process called respiration. During
respiration, a living thing takes in oxygen from the air and gives
out carbon dioxide.
 Shelter. For survival in cases of natural hazards or conflict.
Conclusion

 Natural resources are a present for the creation. These help in

satisfying the human needs to its fullest. Furthermore, the
rational use of natural resources maintains the earth’s
atmosphere. Also, the wise use leads to protection of bio-
diversity. Humans cannot imagine their lives without natural
resources. Thus, the conservation of the same is essential.
 Earth has been a giving planet. Everything humans have needed
to survive, and thrive, was provided by the natural world around
us: food, water, medicine, materials for shelter, and even natural
cycles such as climate and nutrients. Peoples must be appreciated
because of how they live naturally and perfect. Some people don’t
get enough resources but they don’t see that as a problem they
see it as a blessing.
