1.Information
about Hidro
Hydrogen is a gas with the English name hydrogen and the
Latin name hydrogenium. This is a chemical element in the
periodic system of elements with an atomic mass of 1 (1dvC). It
was formerly known as hydrogen because it is the lightest and
gaseous element in existence.

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe,

accounting for 75% of the total mass of the universe.
Since hydrogen is a relatively rare naturally occurring
element on Earth due to the light H2 gas, Earth's
gravitational field is not strong enough to keep them
out into space, so hydrogen exists mainly as atomic
hydrogen. in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Hydrogen is a common, colorless, odorless, explosive,
explosive gas commonly used in liquid gas form.

2
Hydrogen was discovered in 1766 and British culturist H.
Cavendish is credited with discovering the prefix. He
discovered it by an accident while doing experiments with
mercury and acids. Although he erroneously assumed that
hydrogen was a compound of mercury, he was able to
describe many of the properties of hydrogen very carefully.
Antoine Lavoisier named this prefix and the water
certificate is made of hydrogen and oxygen.

2.History of formation
of hydrogen

All of Cavendish's experiments were quantitative in nature.

His first work on the chemistry of gases was published in 1766,
in which he described the preparation methods and properties
of Hydrogen, which he called "combustible air".

Born in 1766, Hydrogen has always been named "burning air" until 1779.
At this time, the composition of water was determined. Lavoisier
suggested naming the gas after the Latin Hidrogenium, so the Greek
words hydr and gennas mean "to make water". The symbol H was
proposed by the Swedish chemist J. Berzelius.

- With metal oxides

Hydrogen reduces many metal oxides at

high temperature to metal and water vapor.

- With nonmetals

Many nonmetals react with hydrogen

Applications of
Hydrogen in life

Use as raw material for engine:

Hydrogen gas burns and produces a

large amount of heat. Therefore,
hydrogen gas is used as the main fuel
for many engines such as engines for
cars, rockets, airplanes, etc. This is a
valuable source of raw materials that
people are looking for to replace
gasoline. oil.

USE IN THE LABORATORY:

Hydrogen is used in the laboratory as

a catalyst, a preparation agent, etc.
In chemicals: Hydrogen is a raw material
for the production of hydrochloric acid
HCl, ammonia NH3 and many other
organic compounds.
In metallurgy: the application of
hydrogen gas as a reducing agent is
used to prepare metals from their
oxides, and to cut and weld metals with
a hydrogen gas lamp.
