Sunrise Launches Autonomous Wheelchair Intelligent Transporter 

SUBANG, 8 June 2022 – Sunrise HealthCare is proud to announce the launch of the world's

smartest wheelchair Intelligent Transporter, the perfect autonomous wheelchair for people with

mobility issues. It is a wheelchair powered by Artificial Intelligence, allowing consumers to

perceive the world. Consumers can make functional inferences and plans and communicate

effectively with people with the help of advanced technology built in this wheelchair. 

With a super soft cushion seat, the Intelligent Transporter helps to stabilize the body of users,

enabling the distribution of pressure to prevent pressure ulcers among wheelchair seaters. The

cushion seat is made from a waterproof cover, making it easy to clean. The Intelligent

Transporter has wheels fitted with mountain-bike style tires, decreasing the vibration of

smooth ride experience for users. It can go on roads, sidewalks, grassy fields, dirt trails, and all

kinds of terrains are not a problem for the world's smartest wheelchair. 

Fixed with a hands-free controller on the arm-rests, the Intelligent Transporter allows easy

navigation for users to control the wheelchair. Sunrise has adopted the new technology – cutting-

edge technology in their newly launched wheelchair. It is a novel hands-free control system that

uses visual recognition of users' head gestures and voices to control the movement of Intelligent

Transporter. By adopting the new technology, consumers can conveniently command the

wheelchair's movement and direction in their favour. 

In addition, the wheelchair is equipped with Ultrasonic Proximity Sensors, a system built with

highly sophisticated sensors that allow the wheelchair to sense obstacles blocking the way. Plus,

the sensors can learn and memorize the users' travel routines. The wheels of Intelligent

Transporter are embedded with encoders, a dead-reckoning software that represents landmark

navigation. This technology built in Intelligent Transporter allows the wheelchair to remember

coordinates of previously traveled paths by users, preventing users from getting lost. 

Other specifications of the Intelligent Transporter are the frame of the wheelchair. The frame is

made of lightweight stainless steel and chrome, which brings convenience when folding the

wheelchair in half due to its lightness. Also, Intelligent Transporter can store up to 10,000
memory of pathways and learn new routes. Sunrise put extra care on the safety measurements of

wheelchair and has included some safety mechanisms. Intelligent Transporter has braking

systems

fixed on handlebars for users to stop urgently. It also allows users to park and lock

the wheelchair securely in public.
