University of Utah Physicians Assistant Program

375 Chipeta Way, Suite A
Salt Lake City, UT 84108

To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great interest that I have submitted my application for the Physician Assistant Program at
The University of Utah. I have had a great interest in your school and program for quite some time. I
appreciate your program’s emphasis on training physician assistants by using a primary-care model to
care for every patient. I am also intrigued by the emphasis on the team aspect of the program. I am looking
to further my education at The University of Utah to work in the healthcare system. As I have done
research on many different schools, this one always stood out to me because I believe it can help me
reach my goals. I hope to graduate with my PA degree and work in the field. This program has so many
opportunities as it is in conjunction with the hospital.

My interest in this field started when I got hired as Certified Nursing Assistant at an Alzheimer's
building. I began working with the patients and instantly fell in love with the profession. I have gained many
valuable skills including organization and leadership. I have always enjoyed helping people and would love
to continue this as a physician assistant!

A few years back, I lost my grandma to an incurable disease (pulmonary fibrosis) as she was
waiting for a lung transplant. She was treated at the University of Utah Hospital and my family started a
research fund in her name. I would love to continue research on this disease in her name. My ultimate goal
is to work in a Pulmonary Thoracic unit and conduct research to further understand a possible cure for this
disease.

Through my life experiences and professional work, I believe I would be a great addition to your
program. I have included all required materials for acceptance into the program. Please contact me with
further questions.

Sincerely yours,

Paige Mitchell
