Hi Sir Marlon,

Since most SCADA screens from different facilities will just be reflected as it is in the Central
SCADA, I would like to focus on the common screens reflecting the system.

1. Water System Overview Screen

I noticed that we have no one SCADA screen reflecting the interconnection and general
overview of the entire Calawis System. Since the goal of this Central SCADA is to integrate all
facilities, we should have one screen reflecting the status, key parameters, and interconnection
from Tayabasan Weir, Raw Pumping Station, Calawis WTP, Calawis Booster Station, Cabading
PS and Reservoir, Maguey PS, and Lucban PS. - Piping interconnections reference is needed.

It is similar to the general overview tab of the Calawis WTP SCADA, only that instead of the
key treatment process steps, we reflect the different key facilities of the Calawis Water System.
In this way, we can immediately see whether there are ongoing/upcoming issues in the water
system. We can have a separate discussion as to which parameters we identified before should be
in this separate screen. - need to identify what are needed to be reflected on the overview. need
meeting with automation and proponent.

2. Presentation of Data Analytics Overview

The influent and effluent flows are not applicable for all the facilities. The color-coded
presentation in the table is not easily understandable. - need to set a meeting for finalization of
design/screens.

Most of the items shown in the data analytics tab are instantaneous or raw data only and do not
really show trends or hit rate versus targets. - request for necessary data/status.

3. Water Treatment Overview

Some important process steps are not included in the overview (i.e. raw tank and treated tank
level, chemicals flow and inventory, chlorine house status, sludge treatment facility) - will be
updated once all screens and tags are completed from facility contractor.

We can further discuss this one should the contractor need further details. Hi @MWC
GALANGUE, Jennifer M. @MWC DIQUIATCO, Lee Gerard J., please feel free to comment.

Thanks and regards,

Eddie

Subject: RE: Central SCADA LLD - Screens/System Architechture

Hi Sir Marlon,

For Cabading booster, May I request to:

1. Make the overview look the way how the reservoir, pipes, pumps and instruments are located. In this
way, it’ll be easier for new comers to adapt the system. - need to set a meeting to discuss the specific
details needed.
2. Add trending system for Reservoir Level. – Noted to be added
3. Flow must include both Inflow and Outflow of the Facility with different color trends. – Noted to be
added
4. Pressure trend must include common header pressure and individual for suction and discharge with
differend color trends. – Noted to be added, but need to reflect/update on local SCADA.
5. Genset parameters must also be included in the power system trend for proper analysis. – Noted to
be added, but need to reflect/update on local SCADA.

My comments:

1. Data analytics view is ok, but have it as a grid info view laid out in plant schematic, with
instantaneous values displayed. The schematic view is for the operator, data analytics view is
for planning. - piping layout of whole plant Calawis grid
2. Data analytics view data should be something useful for analyzing operations. Instead of
influent and effluent flow, why not flow trends? Instead of power consumption, display
kwhr/ML and corresponding trend. For incoming power, also display trends, so that possible
issues can be predicted. – for verification if capable of profibus for data gathering Also include
water quality trending as well as chemical consumptions with the capability to generate
graphs that correspond chemical use and water quality parameters. – will update water
treatment overview analytics
3. For other facilities, trends of demand should also be included, together with reservoir
elevation vs efficiency graph. – how will the data gathering be organized.
4. Include the capability to mark alarms on trending graphs – wincc is not capable of “marking of
event/alarm” / suggest to develop separate window or alarm system. For example, the
system recorded a turbidity spike on treated and the cause is tripping of chemical pumps, the
trip event should be plottable on the time vs turbidity trend of the treated water.
5. Personnel on duty should also be plottable on the trends – not capable in wincc.
6. What is the accompanying hardware for this. If this is data heavy, might be only of brief use to
us if storage space is lacking – workable with wincc (days of retention of data).
7. Let’s also uniform on the color scheme. Make it like the one in Cardona (which was patterned
after the old ELMTP layout) – for discussion
8. You can keep the UCD battery screen, but have an individual line page for a much detailed
view. Convoluted yung screen e – c/o suez for updating of screens.
9. Are the chemical lines animated? Nice if can be so that we know if there is chemical flow or
none. – c/o suez for updating of chemical flow animation
10. For the cationic dosing, do we have a poly prep unit? May need to include visibility as this is a
common failure point – c/o suez for updating
11. Are there network specific remote monitors that we can add? – for verification
12. For the graphs, they have to display a sample, so that we can check if it is legible/seeable in
the gray background? – workable, team will present a sample simulated graph.
13. For the reports, what does it look like after you export to excel file? – will provide initial
report for discussion
14. The graphs for monitoring are small (page 25). You’ll not see trends if its scaled that way.
Make the graph windows resizeable – can resize the window for discussion
15. For the intended user (lucban, etc) do you really need electrical trends? Transmitting
unnecessary data can lead to data congestions and an overall lowering of system
responsiveness – local transmission of data is independent and not centralized.
16. Org charts change often, have this easily editable from our side – for discussion
17. Also did not see the alarms page.

Hi Sir Marlon,

For the Calawis PS,
1. Kindly include the suction and discharge flow parameter. – for clarification
2. Include the power current data on the trends and motor runtime. – capable to
include, but dependent on site if there are data from power meters.
3. Reflect the current plan for discharge line rectification in the interface. – for
clarification.

Thank you,
Regards,
Jen
