LESSON 1
ACTIVITY 1.
Read the LDM Course Overview. Reflect on the overview by answering the following
questions. Write down your insights in your Study Notebook.
1. What is the main delivery of this course?
LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES COURSE 2 (LDM2)
FOR TEACHERS
2. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to deliver quality instruction in
the “new normal”?
A critical component of the LCP is enabling teachers and school leaders to use these learning
delivery modalities effectively. The LCP recognizes that DepEd must adopt alternative modes of
delivering learning if it is to reach all learners regardless of who and where they are. Where
school-based, Face-to-Face Learning is not possible, the LCP identifies three learning delivery
modalities (LDMs) that schools may implement: Distance Learning, Blended Learning, and
Homeschooling. This course that I am taking now, which is LDM2, is intended for teachers like
me and is focused on the instructional implications of using these alternative LDMs.
3. What are the two support mechanisms that will help you with your learning in this
course?
LDM2 for Teachers is a task-oriented course that combines guided study using self-learning
modules and co-learning and collaboration through the Learning Action Cell (LAC). Since face-
to-face meetings are not permitted at present, it is expected to hold LAC Sessions online
intensify co-learning and collaboration through the LAC and to reinforce the knowledge gained
in the self-learning modules.
ACTVITY 2
Answer the following questions by copying and filling out the table in your Study Notebook.
1. How will my personal characteristics and circumstances affect (positively or
negatively) my participation in this course?
A work from a home (WFH) situations of most teachers in the new normal has its pros and cons.
One of its cons, as to my personal situation, is that I cannot put aside my responsibility as a
mother while working at home. Working at school and at home are two diferring environment,
where when at school my focus and attention are drawn mostly to my work as a teacher. But
when at home my focus, roles, responsibility and attention are divided into many facets.
The pros of WFH, as to my case, would be the time for work is more flexible. Such flexibility I
can take into advantage being a mother and a teacher at same time working at home.
2. How can I ensure that I am able to sustain my strengths and address the obstacles
that will hinder me from completing this course?
It is my job so I have to work for it.
