One of our citizens, Justin Chavers (Chi-Wah) who is

Legislatures, there are 63 state-recognized tribes
in 11 states—Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia,
Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York,
North Carolina, South Carolina, Vermont and
Virginia.

In the state of Alabama, we have 9 state


recognized tribes. Even though the Poarch Creek
are state recognized, they also have federal
recognition.

At its November 12, 2022, meeting, the Wolf

donating needed items to Three Hots and A Cot.
This donation continues the Wolf Clan’s ongoing
backing of this organization. Three Hots and A
Cot was formed by veterans to assist homeless
military veterans’ transition from life on the
