I hereby express my interest for the position of data management intern advertised on
social media platforms. I am a young lady of 23 years with a Bachelor of Library and
Information Science with Upper Second Class obtained from Mzuzu University. With 2
years’ experience as an information scientist, coupled with all the competencies you
have mentioned in the advertisement, I believe that I have the skills needed to fill this
position and to be a great asset to your company.

At my previous role working and volunteering at University of Malawi and Mzuzu University
as a library assistant, I excelled at managing information systems, database management,
records management, information governance and security. On top of that, I was in charge
of a team that developed a new information system and focused on the reduction of data
redundancy which we achieved to decrease by 14% within one month. Additionally, as a
monitoring Learning and evaluation Officer at Evidence action, I excelled at managing,
mapping and analyzing data. Through these experiences, I have gained excellent verbal
and written communication skills, typing skills, paying attention to detail, verifying data
accuracy and integrity and effective problem solving and documentation skills which could
be ideal for this position.

I have extensive experience working with statistical analysis and data management tools
namely Microsoft Excel and SPSS and SQL.I am a dedicated, innovative, enthusiastic, and
excellent team worker, a great supporter and communicator both in English and Chichewa,
I am an open-minded individual and passionate about self-development and growth.

I am confident that I am an excellent candidate and I believe that learning about the areas
