Catalina & Constantin: Hello everybody!

Catalina: This morning I got up and looked outside the window, and my eyes, my heart and
my mind suddenly they filled with a “wish”. Do you know what “wish” is about?

Constantin: No, or maybe yes. Is it about spring?

Catalina: Yes, you’re right. Spring is life, spring is love, and spring is a multicolourful one.
What about you?

Constantin: The same. But spring is more than love, colorful fields. I think it’ssssss…
everything!!!!!!!!!!

This is the season
When snowdrops bloom,
When nobody likes
To stay in the room.

When birds make their nests,

We all like best.
Pupil (Evelina 4a) Spring

Spring makes the world a happy place,

You see a smile in every face.
Flowers come out and birds arrive
Oh, isn’t it a grand to be alive?

Pupil (Vlada 4b) What the Robin Told

The wind told the grasses,

And the grasses told the trees.
The trees told the bushes,
And the bushes told the bees.
The bees told the robin,
And the robin sang out clear:
Wake up! Wake up!
Spring is here!

Catalina : Spring is a miraculous experience. The whole world comes alive after the winter
in which it seemed that everything was dead. The world comes filled with color and the scent
of delicious greenery. The world that seemed so dull and cold has become alive again.
Spring gives us hope, is the time to renew everything that lives inside the ground.

Pupil (Cristina, 5c): IT’S TIME FOR SPRING

The snow has melted; spring is here!

The trees stand tall, new buds appear.
The birds do their songs and carols raise:
Lifting high their tunes of praise.

Pupil (Laura 7c): The sun shines brightly kissing earth

As life embraces its new birth.
The flowers reach their petals high
The clouds rejoice within the sky.

Pupil (Alexandru 7c): Dancing in the wind that blows

Nature’s fragrance gently flows.
The grass waves in beds of green;
The breeze is warm; the air is clean.

Pupil (Daniela 7c): The crickets chant their chorus loudly;

Bees fly by while buzzing proudly.
Butterflies with wings so tender
Flit about with grace and splendor.

Pupil(Emilia 5c): Thank you Lord for every sign,

That shows your work in great design;
Your hand has held the brush of love,
That paints the earth and skies above.

Pupil (Silvia 4a): This masterpiece, this work of art,

You’ve painted from loving heart.
Your painting stands without a flow!
Oh how can one but stand in awe.
Just listen to the cheerful sounds!
New life begins and joy abounds!
Pupil (Denis 4c):
So many flowers bloom,
Oh this day of spring!
So many little flutes are played,
So many birds sing,
Oh this day of spring,

Catalina: Constantin, do you like singing songs?
Constantin: Yes, but what are you asking me know about this?

Catalina: Spring has a lot of holidays. One of them is celebrated on the 8th of March.
Constantin, do you know what holiday is it?
Constantint: This holiday can’t be forgotten. It’s mother’s day!!! Ann from the 4th form
will recite the poem “For my MUM”
For my mum…
Pupil (Ana 4b) Sometimes you get discouraged,
Because I am so small,
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.

But every day I’m growing-

I will be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
 Will surely fade away.

When I was very small.

Constantin: What are your duties in spring? Do you work in the garden? Do you plant trees
or flowers?
Catalina: Flowers yes, but I haven’t planted trees yet. Why are you asking me?
Constantin: Because it’s time for greenery. Let’s see how Moldovans spend time in spring.
Sketch:
Role play: daddy, two boys, mother.
Materials: two trees, mess, bin, spade, bit, onions, apple pies, basket, three hats, kerchief,
bucket.

Dad: Hi boys!!! (Boys don’t pay attention). What are you doing?
Denis: Nothing dad, we are playing games on internet. It is so exciting!
Dad: Don’t stay only on internet. Outside is spring and is time to work. Let’s go to plant
trees and to put onions in the garden.
(Boys look at each other).

Denis: Dad! Give me the spade, please.
Dad: What to do?
Valentin: To plant trees. We studied at school that Moldovans have a very special habit; to
build a house, to dig a well and to plant a tree.
Dad: Take it.
Denis: Help me brother!
Dad: Do you know, boys, that the 21st of March is the International Day of Forest. Do you
know?
Boys: Yes. We don’t spend the time in vain at school.
Dad: And the 22nd of March is Earth . Day?
Denis: Yes! We know about it, we learned about it at school.
Valentin: This day people turn off the lights to save energy. We finished to plant the trees.
Mother hasn’t come yet. Let’s play a game.
Dad: What game?
Boys: Seven people build a house.
(All they play.)
Mother comes and says: Oh boys! You finished the work. Guess, what I have for you?
Boys: Apple pies?
Mother: Yes.
Boys: Oh mother, we love you so much! (The boys kiss their mother and then eat the pies).
Dad : Oh it’s so tasty.
After eating dad says: Come on boys to finish the work day. Denis bring me the onions,
Valentin! dig the roads and I will cover them.

Dad: The sun set and we finished the work. Good job!!! Let’s go home boys.

Catalina: After a good work every hard working man should relax a little. Let’s play games
pupils. (She invites some pupils to play the game ”Magnificent balloon”. In it there is a
surprise-a sweet and a riddle.

Constantin: We have another game for those who didn’t participated in the first one.
“The best memory” I need 4-5 volunteers. (Make break for choosing the volunteers. After
inviting all them in the front of class he explains the rules and actions) You should write
words used in this activity. Write as many as you can. You have 3 minutes for thinking and
writing. Start! The winner will get a present.

Constantin : No, I haven’t.
