Good morning,

It is an honor for me to meet and greet

with all of you on the event of COP 27, held
in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

In the event of this COP-27 UNFCCC,

Pavillion of Indonesia facilitate any other
Parties, both representing a Government or
Non-Government representation, to share
their significant experience, to discuss
issues and practical terms, as well as to
provide inspiration on climate action.

Pavillion of Indonesia hold functions as

“ s o f t d i p l o m a c y ” as well as “ h a r d
diplomacy”, represent policies and action to
address climate change, showcase the
applied actions under global negotiation,
and provide the best field practices.
Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen,

Climate change is now affecting most of countries

in the world, disrupts national economies, harms
the society, and it is believed that climate change
is getting worse in the near future. The change of
extreme weather pattern, the increase on sea
level rise and greenhouse emission, are now
standing on the highest scale throughout the
years.
Indonesia's commitment to an Enhanced NDC has
been officially submitted to the UNFCCC Secretariat.
The Enhanced NDC is a concrete manifestation of
Indonesia's commitment to reducing the impact of
global climate change. This document contains an
increase in the ambition of reducing greenhouse gas
emissions, from a reduction target of 29% to 31.89%
through independent efforts, and from 41% to 43.20%
with international assistance.

In marine affairs sector, Indonesia is also preparing

blue economy program as significant contribution to
NDC. Blue carbon ecosystem protection in an enclosed
marine protected area as conservation areas,
restriction on fishery vessel fleets, low emission
aquaculture activities, and protection on marine,
coastal and small islands, are concrete contribution in
greenhouse gas emission reduction.
Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,

For the last decades, the government is

further supporting the shared-
responsibility action with academia and
education, business actors, and
community organization.

These social components importance

reflects their further existence through
their business initiative for instance
company social responsibility or
cooperation between private, government
and public organization in inter-social
partnerships.
Collaborative action on climate change needs leader
to guide the action. Hence, Pavilion of Indonesia
theme is Stronger Climate Actions Together. The
theme is in accordance with Sustainable
Development Goals number 13 with a mandate for
global society to take immediate action in
responding the climate change and their impacts.
Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,

We invite to every nation to collaborate in saving the

earth and share the common goals on it. We also
open ourselves to receive any suggestion to our
accomplished actions and prepare ourselves to take
immediate action, step further ahead and bolder
action for our beloved earth.

To conclude, I wish that all activities and discussions

in Pavilion of Indonesia would inspire in progressing
further concrete climate actions with stronger
commitment and larger networks.

Thank you.
