2. Remove top cover to gain access to the internal dipswitches.
3. Set switches according to the table above.

Important: To Minimize Service Visits

If CRD (Cost Recovery Device) e.g. card reader, vend station, is not ready for use, the
FDI can be setup and left unplugged from machine. It can be connected a later date by
the customer (machine must first be powered off). The FDI is an auto enable device.

1. Perform internal switch setup for the FDI.

2. Remove plug access cover from the control unit and attach the FDI.
3. Set NVM locations for UI messaging and for print/copy control.

Note: To prevent print jobs from being released when copy jobs are being run, printing
must be set up to go to the hold queue on the DFE.

Auto Job Deletion

Any FDI Copy job (not print job) left in queue due to an Out of Funds, Out of Paper or a
Paper Jam condition will be automatically deleted after 10 minutes which is the default setting
of the "Auto Job Release" timer. This timer controls only copies. It is accessed in UI tools,
System Settings, System Settings, Common Settings, Machine Clocks/Timers, Line #4 Auto
Job Release. The Auto Job Release timer Range is 4 – 99 minutes.

Bypass Tray 5 (MSI) Size Detection

When paper is inserted into Bypass Tray, 2 options are displayed.

 Standard Size – Select Paper Size
 Non-standard Size

For accurate cost recovery, “Standard Size” should be selected.

If Non-standard is selected, all media fed from Bypass Tray 5 will be counted and charged as
large paper. Standard size defaults can be set so the most common sizes will be displayed at
top of size list.

Enter UI Tools (11111)

example: 1 = 11 x 17, 2 = A4
