1. Remove the 3 Phillips screws on under side of the FDI.
2. Remove top cover to gain access to the internal dipswitches.
3. Set switches according to the table above.
If CRD (Cost Recovery Device) e.g. card reader, vend station, is not ready for use, the
FDI can be setup and left unplugged from machine. It can be connected a later date by
the customer (machine must first be powered off). The FDI is an auto enable device.
Note: To prevent print jobs from being released when copy jobs are being run, printing
must be set up to go to the hold queue on the DFE.
Enter UI Diagnostics:
NVM 850-007 = 0 – This UI will display “Ready to Copy” (Default setting “Do not Use”)

Scan Ahead NVM 850-013 0 = Not Scan Ahead 1 = Allow Scan Ahead
Any FDI Copy job (not print job) left in queue due to an Out of Funds, Out of Paper or a
Paper Jam condition will be automatically deleted after 10 minutes which is the default setting
of the "Auto Job Release" timer. This timer controls only copies. It is accessed in UI tools,
System Settings, System Settings, Common Settings, Machine Clocks/Timers, Line #4 Auto
Job Release. The Auto Job Release timer Range is 4 – 99 minutes.
Note: If Bear FDI is removed from IOT NVM 850-001 must be changed to 0 or a fault 121-333
will occur.
Note: This machine is auto enable. When powered on with a FDI attached, 850-001 will
automatically change to a value of 1.
