Purpose

Procedure
Check off the steps as they are performed.
__ 1. Clean the IB and OB guide and dry
thoroughly to ensure double sided tape
will stick correctly.

__ 3. Once comfortable with how they fit
remove the double sided tape backing
from one of the metal guides and
position the guide at an angle and
resting on the base of the plastic guide.
(as shown in Fig 3) Align as necessary
and then lightly press the metal against
plastic guide.
__ 4. Test guide slides smoothly and does
not catch any part of the tray as it
slides. Remove and reposition if
__ 5. When metal guide is correctly
positioned press metal guide securely
against plastic guides to ensure it is
stuck securely.(Fig 4)
__ 6. Repeat steps 3, 4 & 5 for opposite side
guide. (Fig 5)

__ 7. Once guides are fitted (see figs 4 & 5) it

is recommended that the Tray 5/Bypass
tray guide adjustment be done to
ensure correct paper size detection is
maintained.
