INT.

BEDROOM NIGHT

FADE IN

The phone slides across the bed into NADJA’s hand.

NADJA answers the phone to her lover while still looking at

her soon to be ex-boyfriend RAINER who looks coldly at her
from the chair opening another of his sweets.

NADJA

He heard our call Rainer heard everything I’ve asked

for his key please come over as soon as you can I
may need help getting him to leave.

TELEPHONE VOICE

I’ll be over shortly with my brother to help you

pack you’ll be safer at mine he won’t find you here
if he does try anything.

RAINER in a sudden burst of emotion walks over to NADJA

getting into an altercation where he tries to steal the phone
from her hoping to discover the identity of the person who had
stolen everything from him the person that implanted this
hollow feeling within his heart.

RAINER
(in a cold aggressive tone)
Give me the phone I must know the man you have
chosen over me that you belittle me to and laugh
with behind my back Nadja.

NADJA lets out a soft cry in pain tearing up while dropping

the phone to the floor causing the telephone voice to panic as
RAINER had accidentally in his sudden outburst smashed NADJA’S
nose it to bleed.

TELEPHONE VOICE
(in a rushed panic)
I’m coming now darling try to get away from him I
won’t let him hurt you I love you my sweet Nadja.

The phone hangs up and a burst of rage builds up within NADJA

all the repressed anger towards RAINER finally uncovered and
free on the surface the lie finally over.
NADJA
(in pure rage and anger)
You have made me miserable for months Rainer always
isolating me judging I don’t want my life to be just
waiting for you to love me again I hate the man
you’ve become and resent the man you were making me
fall in love with him trapping me in this prison
with you I LOVE HIM NOT YOU!

RAINER looks at NADJA almost through her in a cold daze lost

within his mind an empty abyss of pure darkness towards NADJA
thoughts he could bring to reality just beside the bed these
thoughts could fulfil him

NADJA flails her arms in a fit of rage as the same as any

other day RAINER came back to NADJA she seems like nothing to
this man just a decoration in this miserable cell they both
call home

NADJA
(still yelling)

I never want to see you again you pathetic excuse

for a man you’ve forgotten me rejected me pushed me
into the arms another he is so much better than you
could ever be you have forgotten what it means to be
in a human relationship your dead to me Rainer now.

GET OUT!
PISS OFF!

RAINER stumbles across the room towards the head of the bed
next to his hope the bedside drawer and the treasure within
the end to his pain he confirms his decision his path set as
he reaches towards the drawer while NADJA looks past him an
old photo of the two of them a long last past till the truth
snaps together seeing RAINER opening the drawer and removing
the pistol from within shock floods over her body as she looks
down the pistol pointed at her chest an loud terrifying bang
and the sharp sudden pain of the bullet entering her flesh
tearing through the cloth of her oversized shirt.
