INTRODUCTION
The attached slides look at two plazas after we had our class yesterday as potential precedent studies
 They are not in theory on the street with ZERO LOT LINES (there are far better precedents which hopefully you will find)
as the urban study for AS# proposes but these slides can still be studied for the similarities and context
 By simply assuming that the car park to the plazas becomes the street the horizontal relationship between street +
parking + arcade can be realized and visually understood
 Similarly, the vertical relationship can also be studied as to how residential accommodation at the upper floors is
realized using a ZERO LOT LINE relationship
 Does one hold the edge and build apartments right to the lot line boundary
or
 set back with the help of a balcony to give privacy
or
 Add fenestration such as screens to give additional privacy
 ARCHITECTURE is the study of seeing things not as they are but how they can be adapted to your purpose. Look
around as you go from place to place and record mentally spatial relationships which become your resource library
 Understanding precedents are also important in understanding sections:
