Harlyn: thank you for inviting us in this incredible show.

Emely: Thank you for being with us today. It is a pleasure to meet you both

Ryza: The pleasure is ours. Thank you for having us here

Emely: Alright, we want to ask the both of you a some questions. We want to share your stories if it’s
okay? (Ryza and Har lyn: yeah sure, no proble) but first I want to ask Ryza

Emely: So Ryza, what is something everyone should know about you before you reach your dreams and
goals?

Ryza: Something that everyone should know?Hm... maybe uhmm that I come from a very poor family.
It’s really hard to finish school when you are not financially unstable

Emely: That’s true (while nodding)

Ryza: At the very young age, I am taught how to earn for a living, just for my own self and for my family
as well. There are instances that I have to be absent because my money is not enough. It’s really hard
because if u are poor, your future is not secured.

Drea: How about you Harlyn?

Harlyn: Poverty is a really a serious problem to deal with. Umm.. I cannot pay the obliged school fees
with my money, it is not even enough. I cannot even avail the required projects but as you can see, I
deal with it, go with the flow even it’s hard. Poverty is not a hindrance to ones' success.

Drea: That’s true, but If you will work very hard, nothing is impossible.

Emely: Yes

Drea: I heard that you two are both valedictorian, wowww.

Ryza and Harlyn: hahaha thank you

Drea: Can you share us your experience as a student?

Ryza: I went through a lot of hardships before I was able to achieve this position, it's just like I have to
wake up early to study and then in the afternoon I have to work to fill my daily needs. Studying makes
me tired, of course but even I get tired, I always think that it is necessary to study hard for my future as
well so that I can lift my family out of poverty. But you know, I have learned a lot a s a student. I consider
the act of learning a two way avenue that has to be taken seriously.

Harlyn: Ummm since it’s hard to be a student I always cry at night hahaha I always say to my mom that I
don’t want to go to school anymore. Since I’m also came from a poor family, I’m ashame to go to school
because I don’t have any money. As what Ryza said, We learned a lot as a student/s. I have learned to
build my ideas and thoughts around a system of interactive engagements with team members of
numerous student groups I have had the pleasure to be associated with. I also remember that I’m
joining in every singing contest at our barangay to make money, but you know it’s not even enough.

Andrea: Wow, so you’re a singer huh. Sample!!

Everyone: Sample 3x

Harlyn: (Singing) pagkatapos kumanta: Thank you

Clap Clap Clap!!!!!

Emely: Ahhh that’s great!!!

Drea:. That’s wonderful!!!

Emely: Woww, what a wonderful and inspiring life story you have. I am really impressed to you despite
of the difficulties you've been through you still didn't lose hope, I hope everyone gets a lesson that
might help them through their rought times. I know everybody still want more life experiences to hear
from the both of you but. Before that we'll be right back after a quick infomercial
INFOMERCIAL

Emely: So as we know that family and social support means having a supportive network of family and
friends to rely on in times of difficulties. Does your family support your dreams? Harlyn?

Harlyn: Umm yes of course, even though my mom is a single parent, she has taught me to always try my
best, to treat everyone equally, to not give up when things get hard. She instills the importance of family
and of doing well at school in me. When I make decisions and she doesn't always agree with them, she
makes sure that I know that she is behind me all the way because she wants me to always be happy. She
has taught me right from wrong and the significance of self-respect. That’s why I love my mom more
than anything.

Ryza: Me too, my family always told me to be successful. If I try hard on what I want to do I will become
what I want to be. My hopes and wishes are very important to me and I will stick to my dreams.
Although I do not want to give the perception of perfection but this mindset has helped me get through
the toughest patches and come out on top, it has helped me dispatch from friends when needed and
form positive inferences on how healthy relationships are suppose to look like.

Drea: So how does it feel to being a successful person despite of all your struggles? And how do you
define your own success, what does success looks like to you?

Ryza: For me, success is feeling good about your choices. But to truly be successful, is achieving foals that
you make, for example, graduating from high school. Also, to be successful is to work for your goal, not
everything in life will be handed to you. A personal goal of mine was to go to college, which am, so now
consider myself successful! What helped me to most was to set up goals throughout my high school
career, because if you don’t have goals, what are you shooting for? There would be no point going
through life without goals. At the end of the day, success is being able to look at yourself in the mirror
and feel good about the choices you've made. No person is without their mistakes, but you learn and
grow through the process.

Harlyn: Success doesn’t mean yeah your done, there’s nothing else to do. True success is when you take
the risk at first, example you are small business man but you don’t have any funds so you’re going to
choose one in the two option the first one is you’re going to stop or you’re going to find some ways just
to continue your small business. So success is not only a success , success is from the failure...... you just
earned it and you have to learned from failure, tou just have to refix it. In short, success is not final;
failure is not fatal : it is the courage to continue that counts.

Clap Clap Clap!!!
