a) Optical Scanner

scanner, also called optical scanner, computer input device that uses a light beam to scan codes,
text, or graphic images directly into a computer or computer system. Bar-code scanners are used
widely at point-of-sale terminals in retail stores. Optical scanners are also used in fax machines and
to input graphic material directly into personal computers.

b) Rename an existing folder

In order to rename an existing folder, right click on the folder and select 'rename' option or press F2
key after selecting the folder, The name of the folder will be highlighted. Now, type the name you
want to rename as and press 'enter' key. The folder will be renamed,

c) Option available in font dialogue box

The Font dialog box lets the user choose attributes for a logical font, such as font family and
associated font style, point size, effects (underline, strikeout, and text color), and a script (or

d) Hiding slides in powerpoint

i)In the left navigation pane, select the thumbnail image of the slide you want to hide

ii)Right-click the slide, then select Hide Slide. The slide now shows a slash through the slide
number to indicate that it's hidden
