OVERVIEW

This module covers topics like vocabularies, translations and conversations.

Vocabularies like eat, drink, smoke, see/look at/watch, hear/listen, read, write/draw/paint, buy,
take a photograph, do, meet a friend, meal/cooked rice, breakfast, lunch, supper, bread, egg, meat,
fish, vegetable, fruit, water, tea/green tea, black tea, milk, alcohol/Japanese rice wine, movie,
letter, photograph, store/shop, garden, homework, cherry blossom viewing, what, together, a
little while/a little bit, always/usually, sometimes, after that/and then, yes, that’s good, I see, see
you, etc.
Translations on the other hand, include sentence patterns and example sentences. In
addition, practical conversation is added to supplement learning.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this module, the students are expected to:

1. identify/enumerate the vocabularies being studied

2. translate English words/sentences to Japanese
3. answer questions in Japanese
4. engage in practical conversation using the vocabularies learned
