-:Introduction
hacksaw manually is a very tiring and time consuming task. It requires a lot of manual effort
and delivers uneven cutting. Operating a electrical hacksaw does deliver good results but
consumes a lot of energy. So here we propose a semi automated hacksaw using pedal power.
Here we design and fabricate a hacksaw that is run by pedal power and achieves even cutting
.with very less efforts
Components
bearing, 2-chain drive, 3-connecting rod, 4-frame, 5-hacksaw, 6-handle, 7-handle adjuster, -1
8-pedal, 10-rotating disc, 11-seat, 12-seat adjuster, 13-slider rod, 14-sprocket, 15-vice
Operation
Here we use a chain sprocket arrangement to transfer power from pedals to hacksaw. A
strong and firm base frame allows for efficient power transfer between the system. We use
bearings and mounts to mount and setup the entire system and ensure a smooth circular
motion of pedals. Now we attach a hub to the other sprocket. This hub is connected with a
connecting rod which moves with the hub in order to produce a lateral motion. We now
develop a supporting frame and connect a saw to the other end in order to achieve desired
cutting movement of saw. We also attach some weight to the upper saw frame in order to
.have some load on the hacksaw for a cut through movement system

Introduction
Manual lifter is the general term used to describe a piece of lifting equipment that you can find in most
businesses and warehouses. More versatile than a hand pallet truck but not quite as useful as a forklift truck
they can be an economical avenue to increasing storage capacity without the capital outlay normally
associated with their larger brethren. Pallet stackers can also be described as stacker trucks, stacking trucks,
manual stackers, semi electric stackers, straddle stackers and powered counterbalanced reach stackers Fig

Operation
Once the load is secured to your sack truck, use the handles to gently pull the top of the sack truck backward
and push. The sack truck should move with ease (if it doesn't, you may have exceeded the weight limit or
there's something wrong with the wheels)
:Advantages
.Less Expensive – cost considerably less to purchase, therefore are commonly found in many facilities
Solid Work Horses – manual pallet jacks are tough and dependable. Thanks to their strong, solid design,
maintaining them in the long run is much easier. Generally, a manual pallet truck has what it takes to
.weather the demands of busy facilities, transporting heavy loads steadily from point A to point B
Lower Maintenance Costs – do not have any electrical components and usually cost less to maintain. Also,
as they boast a less complicated design, repairs frequently take less time (compared to an electric pallet jack)
.and you will not have a difficult time tracking down parts
Easily Customizable – they can be purchased with different fork lengths and widths, raised and lowered fork
.heights, and materials for wet or dry environments
:Disadvantages
More Difficult to Maneuver – because they are manually operated, they can be more complicated and
.awkward to use
Physical Strain – it puts more physical strain on your workers, than an electric powered pallet truck would,
.which could potentially lead to injuries
Weight Limitations – in the real world not many people can manually pull 5,000 lbs, so realistically you will
not be able to load the pallet jack with that much weight and still be able to maneuver it. Electric models are
.able to handle that much weight, without putting a strain on your workers
