1. The philosopher that aligns most with me is Christ Rojek. I feel this way because his
view of the meshed boundaries between work and leisure are very similar to the way my
family is. For example, my dad works and then plays golf. His work blends into golf
when he plays with clients or other staff, and they meet while playing. Another example
is when I do my schoolwork and listen to music. Listening to music is a way I relax. If I
have so much work to do I try to listen to the music while completing my homework.
During the leisure time is when you talk with friends and family. We share thoughts and
concerns during this time. I relate this to emotional intelligence. I understand how they
feel, we talk about it, and I may feel the exact same way. When it comes to emotional
labor situations can be worked out during the leisure time, even though it has to do with
work, like when my dad is on the golf course playing with his clients.

2. A career path I want to take is working for Disney one day. Either at the resorts, in the
parks, or on one of the Disney Cruise ships.
a. People come from all over the world from other cultures and walks of life, to visit
Disney properties. These visits provide opportunities for social interaction and
community building by people getting to know the individuals around them by
talking and sharing information.
b. Staying at these properties allows most clients the same opportunities to use the
amenities. For example, each property has transportation and a pool. All clients
are able to utilize those amenities.
c. Activities such as rides, pool time, crafts, and eating all are available at Disney
properties. Disney worked to create energy efficient rides as well as environment
friendly spaces in their properties. For example, in Epcot where sustainability for
humans and the environment are visible when visiting the aquarium, flower
exhibits, or butterfly garden. Disney properties also provide healthy food options
and promote drinking water with bottle filling stations. These options are all
ways that Disney celebrates humans and the environment.
