1 Describe a time when you used a paper map

2 Describe an activity you enjoyed most in your primary school

3 Describe a skill that you learned in your childhood

4 Describe a difficult task that you completed at work/study that you felt proud of

5 Describe a piece of good advice that you gave to someone

6 Describe an exciting activity that you experienced with someone else

7 Describe an activity that made you feel tired

When I was in primary school, there was an activity that I particularly enjoyed. It was a treasure
hunt, a game that required us to use paper maps to find hidden objects around the school. This
was my first encounter with a paper map, and I found it intriguing. I learned how to read the
symbols, follow the directions, and estimate distances. This was a skill I acquired in my
childhood, and it has proven to be useful in many situations since then.
The treasure hunt was not just a game, but also a learning experience. One of the tasks that
stood out was planning a route using the map. This was a challenging task that required a lot of
concentration and problem-solving skills. After spending hours studying the map and planning
the route, I finally managed to complete it. This was a moment of accomplishment for me, and I
felt a sense of pride in my achievement.
During this task, I noticed a friend who was struggling with the same challenge. Seeing him in
difficulty, I decided to share some advice. I suggested that he break down the route into smaller
segments and tackle each one separately. This strategy seemed to help him, and he was able to
complete the task. It was a rewarding experience to be able to help a friend, and it made me
feel good.
One of the most exciting parts of this activity was a school trip where we had to apply our map-
reading skills in a real-world setting. We were taken to a nearby forest and were tasked with
navigating our way through it using only our paper maps. I was paired with my best friend for
this activity, and together, we managed to find all the checkpoints. It was an exhilarating
experience that brought us closer as friends and teammates.
However, this activity was not without its challenges. We had to walk for miles, climb steep
hills, and cross streams. By the end of the day, I was physically exhausted. But despite the
tiredness, I felt a sense of satisfaction. It was a tiring activity, but the sense of achievement and
the fun we had made it all worth it.
Looking back, these experiences taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, problem-solving,
and perseverance. They are lessons that I still remember and apply in my life today. Despite the
challenges and the exhaustion, it was a memorable experience that I cherish from my
childhood.
