SET 1
Part 1: You will have to talk about the topic for 1.5 minutes. You can make some notes to
help you if you wish.

Describe your neighborhood.

You should say:
• where you live
• what the places are in your neighborhood
• how places near your house affect you and describe how you can improve your
neighborhood.

Part 2: Take your side. Discuss this topic with your partner in no more than 3 minutes.

Which is more important: neighborhood or neighbors? Give reasons and examples

to support your point of view.

Solutions:
Part 1:
The city I live in is Ho Chi Minh City. You know we used to call it the night city. And
Nguyen Gia Tri street is the place that I have been attached to since coming to this city.
My current neighborhood is very convenient to travel by public transport, especially bus,
so going to school by bus is very convenient. Looking out from that neighborhood, you
can see the Landmark 81 building becoming very close and large. It is a fact that every
time we celebrate New Year's Eve, we just need to stand on the rooftop or on the street to
see the fireworks launched from Landmark 81.
Best of all, I love the fact that there is a street full of great scrumptious (CỜ ROM SỢT)
street food nearby.
I wish more waste bins would be placed around this area. The outside of my apartment
complex is dirty because people often throw garbage on the street due to the lack of trash
cans. I think it is also due to the lack of consciousness of some people.
Part 2:
Which is more important: neighborhood or neighbors? Give reasons and examples
to support your point of view.

I think neighbours are very important because they are some of the people that you are
around every day.
If you ever have a problem you may need to ask a neighbour for help, since they are right
nearby. If you are new in a place, you can always ask a neighbour where to find
something.
And they are also right there if you are in danger and knowing they are there might make
you stronger or less afraid.

SET 2
Part 1: You will have to talk about the topic for 1.5 minutes. You can make some notes to
help you if you wish.

Describe your dream house.

You should say:
• where you are living now
• where you want to live
• what kind of house is your dream house and explain why you think it is your
dream house.

Today I’d wish to tell you about my dream house that i've got longed for since i used to
be a baby. It would be a house, much of a bungalow within the suburb where pollution
isn't a heavy issue. the primary time I saw a bungalow on TV, i used to be so captured by
it, and I’ve dreamt of getting one since then. I’d like my future house to follow a
minimalist style, in other words, not having an excessive amount of furniture or
equipment. it might just have cupboards, a group of utensils within the kitchen and an
oversized closet for the entire family within the bedroom, and a few other essentials. It
would be a medium-sized house with a balcony on the second floor in order that I can
watch the sky and luxuriate in the gentle wind while sipping a cup of tea within the
morning or within the late afternoon. And I would paint it within the color creamy white-
a color expressing my hospitality. it'd even have an internal garden with both local and
exotic flowers and plants that give off very pleasant fragrance. Well, I’d like to board this
house because it's tranquil and peaceful, as opposition the hustle and bustle in
cities. i might hear birds singing at dawn and my favorite melodies at midnight without
being disturbed by noisy neighbors. I would have healthy lifestyle if I board this sort of
house. There would be lots of space to steer or run to stay myself active throughout the
day moreover as very fresh air to respire. i might take up fishing on weekends rather than
gluing my eyes to electronic gadgets like smart phones or Ipads. Lastly, having a
bungalow means I can have a barbecue on weekends and invite my friends to come back
over, and throw a tremendous house-warming party on a spacious yard

Part 2: Take your side. Discuss this topic with your partner in no more than 3 minutes.

Many people living in rural areas would like to migrate to cities while those living
in urban centers wish they could move to the countryside. Which is better: city
life or country life? Give reasons and examples to support your point of view.

I gotta say that each has its own perks. But personally, I kind of lean towards residing
in an populated area. Despite all the hustle and bustle that so many people
dislike, i believe that living during a metropolis gives you ready access to entertainment,
education and services.

The living standard will apparently be generally better, and also the same are often said
about job prospects.
For example, if you wish to develop a luxury goods business, you cannot sleep in a
peaceful countryside, right? and therefore the best idea for development is that the
magnificent city.
I totally agree with you

You should say:
• where you went

So I’d wish to speak about a journey that I took once I was a bit of kid. Along with my

know we traveled by car. Umm, I can’t remember how long the trip was but I’d guess it
had been a couple of weeks. and therefore the reason we went on this trip? Well, it
absolutely was probably because my parents wanted to require me for a pleasant trip. i've
got visited plenty of islands, especially "The kissing rocks" - it's the symbol of Ha Long
Bay. I also enjoyed the special seafood within the busy market. i really like this trips, it
not just Ha Long, i've got ever visited some near erea like Trang An, Binh Thuan or
Ha Noi during this journey.

Part 2: Take your side. Discuss this topic with your partner in no more than 3 minutes.

Some people prefer to go on guided tours when they travel while others prefer to travel
individually. Which do you think is better? Give reasons and examples to support your
point of view.

Personally, i believe it'll rely upon the meaning of that trip, a visit to relax gently or a
visit to go to tourist attractions. And during this case, i select to travel lightly to abate a
touch.

a visit with no limit to be ready to fully enjoys the fresh air similarly as a way of
freedom, a visit without too many closed schedules in a very day to be ready to slowly
enjoy, that's unattainable when occurring a guided tour.

Traveling with some friends will help us bond more, have more beautiful memories after
an extended time of studying and dealing. If you're traveling individually, you have got
the liberty to travel to the places you prefer beforehand and may even visit places that
don't seem to be originally planned. additionally, going with our close people will help us
feel more leisurely and safe when visiting an odd place that we've got never been to.

day of July 2020. The graduation ceremony was organized in the main auditorium, which
was the venue for important events of my university.

The farewell party of the ultimate highschool students was held within the school yard,
which was the venue for important events of my high school.
After speeches of principals and vice principals, the coed representative (có ẹt re pờ rì sen
tative) spoke up about the memories and efforts that the course had achieved together
with deep thanks. Her speech was so heartfelt and emotional that it caused everyone to
pause for a flash and so a burst of applause broke the atmosphere.

with us plenty, the teachers prepared a big orchestra (ó kẹt tờ) so the scholars could dance
to their whole in joy. The mixed joy is that the loss of getting to mention goodbye to
teachers and friends after a few years of attachment.

It is a memorable memory on behalf of me, because everyone has just one time as a
student, that farewell marked the tip of a carefree student life to step into the lifetime of a
student. From then on, I flew out from the heat and luxury of highschool to begin a
replacement chapter of my life. anytime I examine the images, the memories of that day
came flooding back.

You should say:
• what the item of technology is
• when you got it
• how often you use it and explain why it is important to you.

I'm within the GenZ generation, so accessing technology from a young age has become
familiar to me. i've got a variety of tech gadgets, but perhaps the foremost important may
be a smartphone. I have started using it when I was 14 years old. i take advantage of them
about 9 hours during a day. it's very useful indeed. additionally to calling and texting, it
can become atiny low camera which will take pictures, and might replace the pc for tasks
like checking email or editing images and documents. And quite that, it's entertainment
and social networking. And most significant it's an app to manage my schedule. It
becomes my watch on a daily basis. Maybe i can not imagine how horrible it might be to
not use them in some unspecified time in the future because I'm a smartphone addict.
Part 2: Take your side. Discuss this topic with your partner in no more than 3 minutes.

With the rapid advancement of communication technology, e.g. smart phones,

tablets and other mobile devices, some people believe that the disadvantages
outweigh the advantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give
examples to clarify your viewpoint.

It is true that mobile phones and computers play important roles in our lives. Some
people think this can be the reason for the decline in communication skills. While I
accept that modern technologies make our lives more convenient, i feel they need some
negative impact on our ability to speak.
I think the problem we will come across the foremost is that by being so focused on
mobile phones or computers, people not want to spend time with their real friends and
family.
as an example, if you head to a coffee bar, you'll see people sitting together but each
using a phone and immersed in their own world, or talking to one another but one person
talks, the opposite look at the phone and nod, it makes people hesitate to talk because
they think that what they are saying isn't interested anymore.
I once went to a coffee shop and came upon a family of 4, they ordered water and every
used a smartphone and you know, the full time they came in and until they left, they just
opened words when ordering and paying.

Which is better: shopping online or purchasing in stores? Give reasons and

examples to support your point of view.

For a regular online shopper like me. Personally, I would prefer to shop online. If
you ignore the risk of the product, you will have more time to think and consider,
compare, choose.
For example, you have time to refer to the prices of different stores to make a
decision to buy at the cheapest store, saving time that cannot be compared to when
buying directly at stores.
Not only that, online shopping now saves you longer, as an example, you want to
buy home appliances for a new rented apartment, but you don't have time? no problem,
you can take some of your lunch break or the night before going to bed, open the
Shoppee app and buy it! everytime everywhere.

beautiful experience of university life here. it isn't as big as other universities,
but the facilities inside are great, what i prefer the foremost is that the cooling

highly qualified lectures, subjects using high-tech devices also are a prominent
aspect of the varsity. that creates the college stands out.

Part 2: Take your side. Discuss this topic with your partner in no more than 3 minutes.

Do you think computers will one day replace teachers in the classroom? Give
reasons and examples to clarify your perspective.
I don't think computers can replace teachers.
For my family, a family with 3 generations of teachers, teaching is not an easy job.
For students with high receptivity, being able to study on their own on the computer can
help them understand more broadly, but the nature of the subject must be summarized
and covered by the teacher to help they can dig deeper into key issues.
But for students with lower receptive ability, self-study on the computer is very difficult,
they have no direction where to start, Teachers are very important at this time, they will
teach for students to be able to shape the subject, they help them with immediate
difficulties. Teachers are trained to understand students, they know what students lack
and need.

I think students should not work part-time because they should spend that time trying to

takes them away from usual distractions, including the internet.

Take a break when you want

Need to pop out for some groceries. Or pick the kids up from school. Or use the gym
while it’s quiet. No problem. As a freelancer, you can take a break when you want. There
are no set rules.

Choose the projects to work on

Choosing which projects you want to work on is a big plus. If you enjoy working on your
projects, then you’re going to be more motivated. Working on them is not a chore.
