Thank you for your really interesting topic today because it makes me remember the
time when I decided to take part in a challenging and meaningful talent show in my
school. It was taken place on the occasion of Vietnamese Teacher Day. I really
wanted to win because of its deep meaning of the prize. Actually, I am a quite
introvert and reserved person. Therefore, I am not really keen on participating in
some kinds of outdoor activities but according to my former teacher’s saying, this
talent show would be very interesting because the school wanted to find out the best
presenter or MC for school. Moreover, the most important thing here is the deep
meaning of the competition because our school expect the participants to make a
special speech to get more donations or sponsors to raise the school’s fund to share
with some mountainous students who are too poor to go to school. Finally, my
presentation would be persuasive enough to awake many hearts to contribute their
money and energy to assist the poor student to have a chance to go to school and
although this decision is difficult, it is very meaningful to me
In our lives, sharing or helping those around us is a good gesture that everyone
should promote. In my short talk today, I would like to describe a time when my
friend asked my opinion about the importance of volunteering. In fact, she is shy,
she doesn't like to be contacted, and she is especially afraid of unexpected risks that
will come to her. A few months ago, my school organized a volunteer program to
help people in the mountainous areas in Lung Cu, Ha Giang overcome natural
disasters and floods. It is known that the journey will take place in 5 days, the road
is difficult, and when we get there, we have to do a lot of work, for example, helping
people build houses, teaching children to learn, helping them with living skills, my
friend asked me if she should participate or not, afterthinking a while, I have found
a way to help her understand the importance of her sharing in that volunteer trip.
Finally , she realized her strength and value to the community. I was really happy
because she agreed to accompany us on this 5-day volunteer trip.
In the world today, travelling is one of very popular activity. In the next time I plan
to live in Da Nang province. Some people will ask me why I prefer this place. Yes,
it is quite simple. Actually, Da Nang is located in the middle of Viet Nam where has
a lot of beautiful landscapes for example Hoi An ancient street, Ba Na Hill, Ngu
Hanh Son and My Khe beach and so on. I think that I will go there with my big
family or my close friends. I will find a good job which is suitable with my ability
then I find an apartment to enjoy my life where is near the beach I can. Therefore, I
can go along to the beach to play with white sand there and enjoy the fresh seafood.
Especially, I can visit Hoi An ancient street where is really popular with everyone
and I can buy many kinds of gifts for my friends. The main reason why I expect to
live here mainly because the people in Da Nang are very hospitable, kind and the
food is delicious. Moreover, I don’t feel heavy pressure. In general, Da Nang is one
of very special place for everyone and it is considered as a liveable place.
I consider myself to not have many good habits towards a positive life, but after
witnessing Hung, my classmate who has developed a wonderful habit. I decided to
change myself by following his mirror and trying harder. I discovered his habit by
accident on a 2 days field trip with my class. We went to the suburbs to camp and
have practical activities there, after a tiring day of playing, we slept soundly at night,
in the morning no one opened their eyes to wake up, I was not an exception.
Suddenly, Hung woke me up, and asked me to go running, I put on my shoes, and
walked to the rice fields with Hung. Early in the morning, the space was quiet,
everyone was in a hurry. They went to work in the fields early to avoid the sun. The
air was fresh with the faint scent of ripe rice and plants. We warmed up and started
running gently for about 30 minutes. I asked Hung, how long did he have this habit?
He said since he was 10 years old, actually, at that time, I felt really ashamed of
myself because I could only sleep, I couldn't even wake myself up in the morning to
go to school if my Mom didn't wake me up. After that time, I changed myself by
getting up early to run around the park with my father, then practiced movements to
improve endurance and my physical condition. I am really grateful to Hung because
he helped me form a good habit and was an extremely positive change for my life. I
promise myself to do it better.
With the development of all kinds of rituals ( lễ nghi), giving gifts to each other is a
popular trend. In my short talk today, I would like to share with you an occasion
when I was given a large sum of money by my grandparents when I celebrated my
15th birthday. That day, my parents organized a very warm birthday party for me at
home. My parents invited our grandparents to attend, mainly family members,
everyone warmly enjoyed the party. When the party's over. My parents gave me a
very beautiful watch with the best wishes: You should appreciate the preciousness
of time ( trân trọng sự quý giá của thời gian) and the watch will remind me to do
everything. And after that, my grandparents gave me 100 million VND, which is a
great amount of money for me. My Grandparents said: 15 is the most beautiful age,
it marks a turning point when I enter adolescence. My Grandparents gave this
amount of money for my parents to make a savings account for me until I grow up.
Actually, It is a meaningful gift for me to come into the future. Both my parents and
I were extremely surprised and touched by the meaningful gift from my
grandparents. I think this is a very wonderful gift and also puts on my shoulders a
great responsibility.

Actually, I feel unhappy to share with you this topic today because it makes me
remember about a stupid thing I did that made me waste of my time much. It
happened when I was Secondary/ High school time. I had 2 close friends, three of
us had played together since we were Primary school, we always enjoyed every
activity together including both studying and leisure time. One day, my school
organized a volunteering program to go to the mountainous area to support the poor
students and local people there one week. I firmly believe that it was a meaningful
activity and I was eager to register but 2 of close friends refused to enjoy with the
stupid reason. That was really dangerous to go there. I tried my best to convince
them that, this was not really risk as their though because many teachers and parents
also participated in that donation. They ignored my persuasion and refused to join. I
feel exhausted and waste my valuable time with them. Finally, I and my close friends
had some argument about that. They really made me upset.
Honestly, your topic today makes me remember my memorable trip to the suburb
with old classmates on the occasion of graduating from our secondary school. It was
a really wonderful place with full of color of green trees, flowers and yellow rice
fields. Actually, all of my classmates, teachers and some parents had gone there by
a big car. We carried foods, drinks, fruits, tents and some other essential things. We
left Ha Noi early so we got there about 7 AM. The sky in the summer time was very
clear, blue with white cloud. I could see many green high trees. It makes shade with
peaceful feeling. Especially, that was the first time I could see the farmers cutting
rice, after that time, I realized that the life of the local farmers is very hard to create
our daily rice. Moreover, we could play some traditional games such as playing hide
and seek, marbles and chess. Staying there made us close with natural beauty, and
understood a fact that we are very happy with many things that parents provide us.
After that memorable trip, we love the countryside life more because it is really nice
and full of colour.
Actually, we are living in the modern time with the explosion of mass media and the
various types of game show or television program. In my short talk today, I’m going
to tell you about a funny program that is usually shown on as Saturday night. It
attracts many audiences including both young and old generation. I always consider
it as a relaxable moment after a hard week, all my family’s members regularly enjoy
together. We sometimes comment on some messages which sent in the games
because each different program will have a meaningful story to be sent to audiences
as a serious warning or a good lesson to educate the young humans. Especially, it
makes everybody laugh and feel refresh to recover their mind. I am really keen on
watching that program because I expect to receive some meaningful information that
all humorous actors and actress convey to me. Sometimes it makes me laugh many
days later.
Thank you for your really interesting topic today, because it reminds me to
remember an interesting movie that I watched a lots. It describes a big love that a
mother spends for her son. It is a combination between the past and present. As a
diary, the mother remembered the day she gave birth to her child, how she raised her
child up from a little boy to the present. It included different emotions, both
happiness and sadness. I was impressed most by the mother’s sacrifice. Every day,
she must work hard to earn money without her husband’s help but she strived to
improve everything for her child to make him have available things in life. Even
though she was in bad health, she was always full of energy to convey the power to
the boy. Especially, she imagined one day when her child would be more mature,
she expected that her child will be happy, successful and be more independent to
live on her own in the future, the finished in a romantic feeling to make audience
believe that the mother’s love is really valuable who always ready sacrifice
everything for us. Since then, I have loved my mother forever and respect what I
have more.
I am very happy to share with you my great pleasure to meet my closed friend after
a long time. Van was my best friend since we were Primary school student. We had
learnt together until Secondary school/ High school. Suddenly, she moved to
different province to study and live because her parents changed their job. We lost
relation since then, but last month, I had taken part in a celebration of my old
Secondary school, I was so surprised to see her standing in the school yard with a
brightful smiling. I hurried up running towards her with an explosive feeling. We
hug together in front of my friend’s astonishment. We asked about our family,
school, friends and some future plans. We gave our phone and Facebook contact to
keep the communication in a long run. I’m trully happy to meet my old friend. I hope
that we will have more opportunities to warm up our memories and build up our
relationship and specially we must keep contact after a long time losing contact.
Today I would like to talk about a really interesting house that I visited last year. It
is my father’s friend’s. It is located on Thai Ha street which is a very crowded road.
The house is built by Western Style so it looks very modern. It includes 6 floors. On
the first floor, he uses it as a garage and a luxury kitchen where 15 people can enjoy
the meal together. Moreover, it has a warm feeling and everybody can cook together.
On the second floor, I love this most because it has a very interesting living room.
He arranges it as a Bar or Karaoke. Therefore, we can sit to talk or sing Karaoke and
drink together. When we put the first step here, it seems like heaven. On the third,
fourth, and fifth floor, he designs 3 big bed rooms as a hotel. It has enough power.
For example, a big bed, a wardrobe, a big and high quality television and a small
place to drink tea. On the top floor, he has a sauna room and an artificial swimming
pool. They can come here to refresh their mind. After I visited that house, I was
instilled with more desire and effort to study well, earn a lot of money to buy a house
like that in the future.

We are living in the explosion of information technology, along with the available a
series of information on the internet to serve for our learning, entertainment, as well
as daily life. In my short talk today, I would like to talk about how I searched for
information on the internet to serve the presentation of History at my school. I
remember that at the end of the 9th grade year. Instead of having to take the history
exam, my teacher encouraged us to participate in the presentation about the
importance of history with the younger generation and discuss the problem that we
should replace the history subject in school with an academic subject that serves the
logical thinking of students. Honestly, this is a very difficult topic and extremely
sensitive. It took me 3 days to search for articles about the importance of history in
the school as well as in life, of course there are many conflicting views that history
is not necessary and wasted the students’ time. However, in my personal opinion, I
think that history is extremely crucial, because it helps us to understand who we are,
builds for us to love our homeland and the country more. The most important thing
to help me inspire a good presentation is the milestones in history, making me more
proud of my Vietnamese people. This is a very meaningful information search for
me.
I would like to talk about a very precious gift from my dad on my 15th birthday. It
is a beautiful laptop. I was very surprised when my dad gave me this gift. It is a Dell
brand laptop and it comes in black. I don’t know the price of this computer because
it is a gift, but to me it is priceless. I am not an IT expert so I cannot fully understand
this laptop. However, I find that it is not only fashionable but also very useful. This
gift from Dad is very beneficial to me. It helped me a lot in learning and
entertainment. I usually use my laptop whenever I have to do homework or report. I
also use my laptop to watch movies, listen to music, and talk to my friends. My
laptop is becoming an essential part of my life. It actually holds all my contacts, my
photos, my music collection, my recorded videos. I also got instant access to my
favorite websites. It is like having my whole life in my pocket. I really love this
beautiful gift.
In our lives, sharing or helping those around us is a good gesture that everyone
should promote. In my short talk today, I would like to describe a time when I shared
my friend about the importance of volunteering. In fact, she is shy, she does not like
to contact, and she is especially afraid of unexpected risks that will come to her. A
few months ago, my school organized a volunteer program to help people in the
mountainous areas in Lung Cu, Ha Giang overcome natural disasters and floods. It
is known that the journey will take place in 5 days, the road is difficult, and when
we get there, we have to do a lot of work, for example, helping people build houses,
teaching children to learn, helping them with skills. minimal life, my friend
definitely refused to participate, after a long thought, I have found a way to help her
understand the importance of her sharing in that volunteer trip. After a while, she
realized her strength and value to the community. I was really happy because she
agreed to accompany with us on this 5-day volunteer.
Honestly, reading books is my favorite hobby. I have read a lot of books but “The
Late Sorry” is one of the meaningful stories that my grandfather told me last month.
It is a deep lesson that makes me remember and want to share with the public because
I think that the young generation now don’t know how to respect what they have in
the present life, only until they are going to lose everything or it will be disappeared,
they feel regret. The story was about a young happy family with a little child.
Suddenly, the mother passed away from a serious disease. She left the young
husband and a little child lonely in life. After that bad situation, the boy became a
naughty and stubborn boy. He didn’t learn well and always broke law at school. The
father couldn’t teach him, he felt so sad but he still hoped that one day the boy would
change to realize that the father loved and spent everything for him. Unfortunately,
a heavy tragedy fell down his life once more because of his father’s death in an
accident. He became an orphan child. At that time, he suddenly realized that he
didn’t have anyone. He cried a lot in front of his parents’ soul to promise to change
himself. The story ended in a bad mood but it is a valuable lesson to wake up
everybody’s hearts

The more stressful life is, the more people look to nature and plants to relax. In my
short talk today, I would like to describe my Grandfather, who really loves growing
plants. You may be surprised to hear me say this, because in Ha Noi where I live,
which is very cramped, there will be no space to plant trees, yet my grandfather still
does a great job. My house has 7 floors, each floor has a very large balcony, and on
the top floor, my grandfather designs a lovely little garden there. The garden is about
20 square meters, meticulously cared for ( được chăm sóc tỉ mỉ) by my grandfather,
he planted colorful rose pots and 5 pots of orchids that bloom all year, He also grows
some medicinal plants for my grandmother to use when she is sick. In particular, he
also arranges a small space to grow flowers on the wall to look very eye-catching.
In the balcony of each floor, he has beautiful flower pots, he takes care of them every
day, making them always green and blooming. Every morning when we wake up,
my family members open the door to the balcony to watch the flowers bloom and
the trees reaching out to the sun. A sense of comfort rushed over to me. Once, I asked
my grandfather: Why does he like to plant trees? He said: Planting trees is a good
action, it helps train people to be patient and control their emotions. Since then, I
have also formed the habit of taking care of plants with him.
Honestly, I feel quite unhappy to remember about the time when i was late for an
important appointment with old classmates to visit the old teacher on the occasion
of Vietnamese Teacher Day. Now I am gonna tell you about it. It occurred last year
on 18th of November; all of our class had a plan to visit the old Secondary School
teachers. We must be at school gate at 2 pm then we would go together but, on that
morning, I still went to school and I came back home quite late, after that I intended
to have only a short break about 15 minutes then I would go to my old school with
my friends. But unfortunately, I was overslept until 3pm, I woke up. I suddenly
remembered my appointment, I immediately hurried up coming to my school but
nobody left. I couldn’t communicate with my friends as well. It is my terrible
mistake, I felt very sorry because I missed the important visit my old friends in a
really meaningful event. After that time, I promised myself to be careful in every
circumstance to avoid being late for any event.
To be honest to say that I am really happy to share with you this topic because it
makes me remember about the first time when I spoke English – my second
language. It was the time when I was Primary school student. After some first lesson
with Alphabet, Hello and Goodbye and some of related things such as color, fruits
and family members. We had a foreigner teacher, he came to my class and taught us
pronunciation. We were so surprised to see him; and he was very friendly, closed
with us. He arrived near us to require us to speak loudly after him. That was the first
time I communicated with a foreigner. I remember that moment carefully/ clearly.
He asked me “How old are you?”, I immediately answered him quickly “I am fine,
thank you, and you?”. All my classmates laughed loudly except my teacher. He made
me less scared of that situation, and explained his question for me. The I answered
him again. After that time, I discovered that English is very interesting and it is not
too hard. That is the reason why I remember that my first time speaking a foreign
language.
In the hustle and bustle of life, everyone is swept away by invisible pressures, and it
inadvertently makes people overlook a lot of important life skills that need to be
accumulated. Your topic today makes me remember a special time I attended a very
important living skill. Personally, we should be created realistic environments to
practice and accumulate some extremely important skills that are training survival
skills and the ability to overcome difficulties. Actually, To help us acquire these
skills, I think that it is extremely difficult, because it requires perseverance, relentless
efforts, normally, in life, if we have difficulties, we will have someone to share and
help. We never have to try to overcome all difficulties, or find the courage to survive
to fight, Therefore, I surely believe that schools and parents should coordinate and
organize extra-curricular programs or education programs in different forms to
educate students to form those skills from a young age. Although it is extremely
difficult to learn such skills in the short term. But I think that, this course was really
meaningful with me.
Actually, I am not really keen on caring about famous people. But after Nick Vujicic
becomes a strange phenomenon in the world, I extremely want to meet him in person
to understand more about him. I know that he is a disabled person, his legs had some
problems but he regularly tries his best to learn how to swim well, how to do
everything in his own successful life. In Particular, he shared his life experience and
how to achieve new targets to be successful in life. After having some information
about him, I believe that not only me but also other people would love to understand
more about him because he often appears on news or TV shows to convey his power
for us to overcome and strengthen ourselves. Last year, our country’s leaders invited
him to Viet Nam to have some talk shows for the younger generation. I found out
the ways to meet him directly in person but he was guarded carefully. Therefore, I
couldn’t communicate with him by private character but seeing him in real life, I
was able to build up more energy to try my best to achieve new targets and succeed
in my future. I totally believe that I will have a chance to meet him next time.
Today, in my short talk, I would share with you about a very memorable time when
I felt really bored to wait my High School Exam result. Actually, after I had tried
my best to complete my Exam carefully, I hoped that I would receive a high score
to pass a good High School with high ranking. You know? I must wait 15 days to
have exact results. Indeed, I had checked with my teachers, friends and the result
updated on the Internet. Therefore, I guessed that I could pass the exam successfully
but nothing can be sure. I must wait until the exact result informed/ confirmed.
During these days, I felt really bored, I didn’t have to go anywhere except staying at
home to talk with my friends or exchange about the exam together. My parents told
me to go out with them or enjoyed our short holiday while waiting the result but I
didn’t have emotion to do anything. I felt quite pressure, worried and bored. It
seemed to be longer than a century. Finally, the day informed the result came, I could
explode with the good feeling that I passed the exam.
Nowadays, we are living in a hustle and bustle life, everyone is swept away by
invisible pressure. Therefore, time management is very a crucial skill that everyone
should develop in order to succeed in their lives. In my brief talk today, I would like
to describe a positive change to my life that helps me to save a lot of my precious
time. In fact, I am currently a student, thereby I have to allocate about 6-8 hours a
day studying and doing personal work. As a result, I won't have time to do other
things if I don’t use my time scientifically. Therefore, I had decided that I have to
change my lifestyle. I come up with a solution of getting up about 1 hour earlier in
the morning, planning specific tasks for each day according to a timetable, of course
it can also be changed under some objective circumstances, but in general, I always
try to complete my targets each day. However, in the beginning, I encountered some
difficulties in catching up with the schedule, sometimes I felt a bit constrained,
depressed and pressured. But after about a month, I got some positive results, I
achieved most of the goals that I set, and I think that this habit has become an
irreplaceable part of my life in making progress toward my future.
Thank you for your really interesting topic today, actually, it makes me remember
about the time since I was a Primary School student that I had learnt a practical skill.
At that time, I was really scared of water, so each time my parents took me to the
beach, I didn’t dare to go swimming either. Finally, my father decided to change
myself by making it compulsory that I must learn how to swim. That was an
extremely terrible time, my father invited a private teacher to teach for me, he also
learnt with me to help me. After 5 first days, I couldn’t breathe and float, I felt so
disappointed and wanted to stop that activity. However, my father and teacher were
patient to help me overcome my problem. My father told me that I must know how
to swim to protect myself in some bad situations in the water. He analyzed
everything so carefully, and encouraged me step by step. After all, I once more tried
to challenge myself with the purpose to make my father happy. Luckily, I could do
it well, I could swim and breathe under the water well. I felt so happy because at that
time I understood the truth that swimming is really wonderful. It helps me keep fit,
breathe well and relax. I think that it is a very useful skill that I learnt.
Currently, I'm a student, I haven't worked, so I don't know exactly what field I will
work in, however, ever since I was young, Hung is my cousin who has been my idol.
And in my heart, I always wish to work with him in the future, I have thought that I
will feel secure, and not afraid of any risks at work. You may be asking me why I
think so. Honestly, he is 2 years older than me. We grew up together and went to the
same school. Once, my parents and his parents signed us up for a survival skills
class. I was assigned to the same team as him. He is the leader of the team. I really
admire his leadership and problem-solving ability. Since then, I have always
respected him. I hope that in the future, after graduating from university, I will be
able to open a restaurant with international standards with him. We will support each
other, and develop our careers. That is really a big dream that I share with him, but
anyway, we have to wait because it is the future’ story.
Honestly, your topic today makes me remember my memorable trip to the suburb
with old classmates on the occasion of graduating from our secondary school.
Especially the trip didn’t cost me too much. It was a really wonderful place with full
of color of green trees, flowers and yellow rice fields. Actually, all of my classmates,
teachers and some parents had gone there by a big car. We carried foods, drinks,
fruits, tents and some other essential things. We left Ha Noi early so we got there
about 7 AM. The sky in the summer time was very clear, blue with white cloud. I
could see many green high trees. It makes shade with peaceful feeling. Especially,
that was the first time I could see the farmers cutting rice, after that time, I realized
that the life of the local farmers is very hard to create our daily rice. Moreover, we
could play some traditional games such as playing hide and seek, marbles and chess.
Staying there made us close with natural beauty, and understood a fact that we are
very happy with many things that parents provide us. After that memorable trip, we
love the countryside life more because it is really nice and full of colour.
To be honest to say that, your topic today makes me remember about a very
memorable time when I organized a big party to congratulate for my little
achievement. It occurred when I graduated from Secondary/High School with an
excellent score. I was so happy because it was a high rank school. My parents
allowed me to celebrate a small party to mark that first success. I invited some of
close friends and cousins to enjoy with me. My parents also invited some relatives.
They went to the supermarket to select some my favourite food and cooked
themselves. We enjoyed a very warm party with many funny stories. We talked
about the past, about the future plans and how to keep the success during the life. I
felt very happy and realized a fact that when we tried our best, we would keep the
success and the confidence in the life. Therefore, the great achievement will come
any time in our future life.
In the hustle and bustle of life, We have great opportunities to meet many new
people, new relationships. In my short talk today, I would like to describe Ms. Hang,
she has been a close neighbor of my family for more than 10 years. She is a teacher
for autism, a very specific and arid job. But from the moment I met her, I have been
taught and shared many valuable things in life by her. She has a sweet voice to
impart me valuable life lessons. I was completely convinced that she was doing a
relentlessly creative work and I admired her work. Needless to say, you can also
understand that autism ones are very different, each child has a unique personality
and expression. Therefore, the teacher must constantly be creative to find a special
way to open their heart and children's thoughts as well so that the children can
absorb the knowledge imparted by teachers. I have witnessed Ms. Hang teaching an
autistic child who is my neighbor. He is a 15-year-old boy but his way of thinking
and language ability is only like a 5-year-old child. Since Ms. Hang came to teach,
she has brought a new breath to him, he knows how to greet and ask questions about
moving things around, he knows how to express his emotions when his brother takes
his toy. I really admire my neighbor for the very useful job that she has done to
support both the families and societies.
Vietnam has a large area of rivers and lakes, and we have a lot of rivers and lakes.
In my talk today, I would like to describe Sword lake, which is one of the very
famous ones in Vietnam. It attracts both domestic and foreign tourists. Sword Lake
is the only lake located in the center of Hanoi city in Hoan Kiem district. When
visiting this place, people will see Turtle Tower, located on a clearing in the middle
of the lake. Every day, every morning, people around often go to the lake shore to
exercise. In the evening, Hoan Kiem Lake is crowded with domestic and foreign
tourists. Right in the heart of the bustling and noisy capital, there is a peaceful and
quiet Sword Lake there throughout a thousand years of history. Most especially,
Sword Lake also has its own culture and national identity. It is an evidence to help
the younger generation understand more about the history, the legends of our
ancestors, and build up more love for our homeland and national pride.
Today, I would like to talk about my school’s library. It is a really quiet place. Every
day I must go to school but sometimes I go to the library to self-study. I am really
expressed by the atmosphere here because it is a really big place where many
students come here to learn. Everybody keeps silent to study. They don’t make any
noise and concentrate on their studying a lot. When I come here, I can borrow some
documents to read or borrow home. The librarian’s attitude is extremely enthusiastic.
They are ready to instruct us carefully. Moreover, we can borrow some group study
rooms. It means that we can discuss loudly in this kind of room. When I go to the
library, I can broaden my horizon more so that almost time after schooling I visit the
library about 30 minutes. I totally believe that the library is really useful for all
students.
I am really happy and touched to be asked this topic by you today, because it reminds
me of my 15th birthday, when my parents organized a warm birthday party for me
and gave me a gift. I had an Ao Dai, First, I am extremely surprised and did not
understand why my parents gave me this outfit, after my parents explained that, the
age of 15 is the most beautiful age in each person's life. It marked an important
turning point when I turned a new age. After being given that ao dai, I often wear it
in important events such as the traditional New Year, the first day of school, It makes
me feel more mature, more female. In Vietnam, When it comes to female students,
people always think of the image of white ÁO DÀI because It has a graceful and
gentle beauty that no other outfit has. Wearing AO DAI makes female students
become slim, graceful, remembering and not forgetting. Not only a symbol of female
students, the Ao Dai is also a symbol of Vietnamese women. Experiencing many
ups and downs in history, many changes, but the Ao Dai has never been lost, always
exists and contains the Vietnamese soul. That is the main reason why my parents
gave it to my on my 15th birthday.
Thank you for your really interesting topic today because it makes me
remember the time when I decided to make a plan in take part in a challenging
and meaningful talent show in my school. It was taken place on the occasion
of Vietnamese Teacher Day. I really wanted to win because of its deep meaning
of the prize. Actually, I am a quite introvert and reserved person. Therefore, I
am not really keen on participating in some kinds of outdoor activities but
according to my former teacher’s saying, this talent show would be very
interesting because the school wanted to find out the best presenter or MC for
school. Moreover, the most important thing here is the deep meaning of the
competition because our school expect the participants to make a special
speech to get more donations or sponsors to raise the school’s fund to share
with some mountainous students who are too poor to go to school. Finally, my
presentation would be persuasive enough to awake many hearts to contribute
their money and energy to assist the poor student to have a chance to go to
school and therefore this competition is very meaningful to me.

Honestly, I didn’t like playing with the young children because I always had trouble
with them. But last month, I had a chance to spend my time playing with a little
child. I realized that it was quite fun and relaxable. Indeed, his grandparents and
parents must come back to their hometown on some days that were very urgent.
They couldn’t bring him because my family was very close to them so they decided
to send their child to stay over at my home. That was the first time I slept with a
stranger. He asked me many questions and he told me to teach him to study.
Actually, he was quite intelligent but he was too lazy to think carefully, and I guided
him to concentrate on learning and the ability to suffer from difficult things. He felt
so happy to hear what I shared. After some days, I got acquainted with his
appearance in my family. I think that he is the same, 3 days later he came back home
but since those days, we were close together and I was extremely happy to teach
something new to a young person.

Well, a child? This topic challenged me a lot. I think the last time I played with a
child was 2 weeks ago. It’s not very long, right? The child who is 2 years old is my
aunt’s son. He is quite mischievous - tinh nghịch- and really cute. Since his mom
Honestly, I'm usually a careful person when it comes to things that belong to me.
But unfortunately, despite my best efforts, most people lose their stuff just like I lost
my pen a few months ago. I deeply regret this because this is a very meaningful gift
that my parents gave me on the occasion of my 15th birthday. My parents wanted
me to record the most important things in my student life. So I guess you can
understand how precious and dear that pen drive really is to me. But, unfortunately,
I lost it on a rainy day when I was probably trying to get the bus ticket out of my
pocket to give it to the bus supervisor in a crowded bus. However, I didn't realize I
had actually lost my favorite pen until I actually got home. I also discovered that I
might have lost it on the bus on the way home because I clearly remember keeping
it in my pocket before leaving for extra class. Anyway, after losing my favorite and
commemorative pen drive, I feel like I've lost a part of me because it contains so
many precious and dear memories of me from past to present. I also feel that I should
have been more careful about protecting my belongings.
Honestly, as you know, now I am a student, therefore everyday I need to find the
way to concentrate on my study effectively. After a long time searching, finally I
have my own way to help myself, and now I am gonna tell you about it. As a metter
of fact listening to music is my favourite hobby, therefore whenever I need to focus
on doing something, I regulary enjoying some kinds of classical music with silent
words. It makes me ignore the surrounding world, at that time I don’t care the noisy
or different people, I only spend my time on thinking and learning my lessons. Some
first time, it is quite hard, but after several times, I relize that, it is extremely
effective. And as a result, I can have a better result in my school learning. By
anyway, I belive that, in every difficult circumstance, if we try our best, we can do
it well.
In modern life, the phone plays a really important role in connecting people, keeping
in touch and bridging the gap. It has become an indispensable means. In my talk
today, I want to share about a time I used my phone for something very useful. I
remember last summer, my parents went on a business trip for 2 weeks. They took
us home to spend the summer with our grandparents. Nothing special would have
happened, had it not been for my Grandma's sudden high blood pressure, she fainted
away and lay in bed, She was unable to say a word, I was so scared, called my
grandpa, but he played chess with his friends and he did not hear the phone. I
immediately remembered using the phone to call 115 to take my Grandma to the
hospital. Only after 15 minutes, The doctor and an ambulance came to take her there.
At the same time, I also called my aunt and uncle to inform them about the incident,
everyone rushed to the hospital to handle everything. At that time, without a phone,
I did not know how to contact everyone. I think the phone has become an important
part of people's lives.
Your topic reminds me of the time when I was studying for the high school exam.
It was the time when I was the busiest, every time I think back to that time, I wonder
how I was able to make it through. You can't imagine that a day I can only sleep 4-
6 hours at most, I have to go to school all day, at night I go back to school all
evenings, after school More on, I get to have dinner at 9.30 pm and then I continue
to do my homework and memorize so many things, there are times when I want to
explode. I always had the feeling that I didn't have time to learn everything the
teacher gave me. My parents didn't pressure me to get good grades, or to get into
the top schools, but I always set a goal for myself to get into the high school I
wanted. So with a dense and busy schedule for nearly 3 months, I also tried my best
to achieve the best results. And finally, what came has come, after a busy period, I
have achieved my wish.
Thank you for your topic, actually your topic makes me remember about Mr. Viet,
one of very famous teacher in Ha Noi. I have heard many good things from him, he
is not young now but he always tries to go the many mountainous areas to convey
his knowledge to poor students and make them have more energy to go to school to
get education. Sometimes I see him in some talks on Television. He shared about
his life. In fact, he was born and grown up in a poor land, he was an orphan child
only but he was lived in the local people’s love and closed relatives, he learnt well
and became a teacher. He regularly does a lot of charities activities. When I heard
that, I really want to meet him because I think that he will give more energy to
overcome every difficulty to achieve higher achievements in the life. I hope that I
can do it as much as possible.
Today, I am going to tell you about a very important person in my life who I love
talking to and sharing many important things. That is my grandfather. Actually, I’ve
lived with him since I was a little child because my parents were always absent from
home with their business trips. He was not only my grandfather, my teacher, my
father and my close friend as well. He taught me how to read, how to write, how to
do some calculations and especially how to overcome any trouble in my life.
Moreover, he also gave me a new target and energy to overcome it. Many people
have some mistakes that he is my father. Now I am grown up, he still lives with me
and shares everything with my life. We can travel, go shopping or enjoy some books
and films. He always tries his best to make friends with me and gives me great
motivation to achieve higher targets. It is the reason why he is a very important
person in my life.
We are living in a modern society along with the development and introduction of
fashion types. Fashion can say a lot about a person, so I regularly pay attention to
the way fashion icons and ordinary people dress. Your topic today makes me want
to talk about my mother who really impressed me with her dressing style and she is
considered by many of her friends to be a fashion icon. My mother is known for
being stylish. She loves the classic style, that is to say, her fashion is simple, but it
becomes stylish all the time. Her motto is "Simple is the best" but the way she mixes
colors makes people admire. She is usually updated with the latest fashion and every
season, she seems to have a new look. Everyone believes that my mother has a great
eye for fashion. Therefore, they often ask her for some advice. She told me:
"Dressing well is a good art form". To close, I'll explain why I admire my mom's
fashion sense. Mom taught me a lot of things to keep up with fashion trends. She
proves that it's not the branded clothes that make the rank, but the ability to combine
different items is the key to becoming a fashion icon.
In the hustle and bustle of life, everyone is swept up in invisible pressures, and that
inadvertently causes people to overlook a lot of important life skills that need to be
accumulated. Your topic today reminds me of a particular time when I attended a
very important life skills session. The class is organized by a group of retired
teachers. The teacher said, our students really only learn academic knowledge but
forget about the accumulation of soft skills. We personally should create a realistic
environment to practice and achieve some extremely important skills that are
training survival skills and the ability to overcome difficulties. Honestly, in order to
acquire these skills, I think it is extremely difficult, because it requires perseverance,
constant effort in life. If there are difficulties, someone will share and help. We never
have to try to overcome all difficulties, bravely survive to fight. Therefore, the skills
that old teachers have accumulated during many years of teaching are extremely
valuable to us. So I believe that schools and parents need to coordinate in organizing
extracurricular programs or educational programs in various forms to educate
students to form those skills from a young age. Although it is extremely difficult to
learn such skills in such a short time. But I think this course really makes sense to
me.

Thank you for your interesting topic today, it makes remember about the time when
I received a good service from the owner of FPT shop. It happened last year when I
came there to buy an Iphone 7 Plus, it was my parent’s gift on the occasion of my
birthday. It was very expensive and the owner explained with me that this was a new
design of Apple with useful application. I was very happy but after nearly 1 month
using, it had some serious problems. I couldn’t take nice photograph, send messages
or record my lessons at school. Especially, I couldn’t phone to anyone. My parents
immediately took me to the FPT shop to complain about my trouble. He checked it
carefully then told me that it was producer’s mistake. He said sorry and tried to
apologized to me. For that mistake, finally he promised to change for me a new one.
After some worried moments, I accepted his apology and received a new one. I think
in the future when I have any problems with my mobile or need to buy more new
devices, I will go to FPT shop because they really have good service.
Sports are also a place for athletes to practice. It also organizes concerts or other
major events. In my talk today, I would like to describe My Dinh National Stadium,
which has witnessed so many joys and sorrows of Vietnamese people as well as
international tourists. Any country owns its own stadium, it is considered as the pride
of the country, proving its economic potential and passion for sports. I remember
earlier this year, when Vietnam held SEAGAME 21, I was brought to My Dinh
stadium for the first time by my parents. I was really surprised at its grandeur ( sự
hùng vĩ) , I witnessed the fans of the national football team playing against Thailand.
Everyone cheered for the team. It seems to heat up the love of the country and
national pride. As far as I know, My Dinh Stadium is also an ideal place to organize
important events or music shows, satisfying the public's need to enjoy art.
