10. Course Introduction
This is an introductory course on databases, primarily focusing on how databases and database
systems are used in applications. The course will cover relational databases and SQL (structured
Query Language). It will cover different ways of designing databases and include such important
topics such as; indexes, views, transactions, authorization, integrity, and Transaction properties.
11. Learning Objectives
To develop understanding of all the concepts of Database Modelling & Development;
To construct and model real world Database system using SQL Server and SQL Query Language.
The minimum pass marks for this course shall be 50%. Students obtaining less than 50% marks in
this course (Theory or Practical) shall be deemed to have failed. The correspondence between
