What is the purpose of the project you created?

The learning purpose of this was to understand how to write clearly and deliberately.
Although this was done from a professional standpoint, it was also important to keep in
mind who your audience was and how to adjust your language accordingly. It stressed
why the use of specific and intentional speech is so important. My project was about
how to lessen the appearance of damage on one’s car, specifically a car door.

Who is the audience? How did this impact your choices to reach your audience
and achieve your purpose?

The audience is for people who have little to no knowledge about fixing the body of
cars. This impacted how I wrote my instructions, in particular how specific I was about
using the items. This also caused me to explain the purpose or result of certain steps.
This made things a bit more difficult but it forced me to thoroughly think through the
process.

Describe the usefulness (or lack thereof) of at least one primary and one
secondary source.

The website source was generally unhelpful because it contained all of the same
information I had already received from my interviews. I was initially going to use the
website to further describe how to touch up the paint on a car but I realized that it would
make the video and the instructions much longer than the parameters of the assignment
called for.

What search tools did you use to find sources? Did some search tools yield
better results than others? Did you reject more hits from some search tools
versus others?

I used Google search, DuckDuckGo, and Google Scholar. I found that the best results
were found from Google search. This is because I found that DuckDuckGo did not yield
the results I was looking for and Google Scholar was proven to be far more advanced
than necessary. Google search was best because it provided basic answers and simple
instructions, which I needed given the audience for the video and set of instructions.
How did the peer reviews influence your project?

Peer reviews greatly impacted how I approached this project. The comments I received
made me realize just how much detail I would need to go into. They made me go very in
depth with the instructions by over-explaining what to do as well as including why the
steps were necessary and what would happen when the step was completed. The peer
reviews were vital to this project.
