TITLE: EQUIPMENT/FURNISHINGS - CABIN ATTENDANT SEAT INSPECTION

OF THE BACKREST
**CONF ALL

MODIFICATIONS

None

REASON/DESCRIPTION/OPERATIONAL CONSEQUENCES

Some Cabin Attendant Seat backrests were found to be non-compliant with the material hardness
specifications requirements. Due to a missing heat treatment of the sheet metal, the backrest can
permanently deform, thus preventing the closure of the seat pan. Due to its proximity with the exit
doors, the seat pan remaining open could interfere with the passengers egress routes.

This Service Bulletin calls for the inspection of the Cabin Attendant Seats backrests and the
replacement of the non-compliant with compliant backrests.

This Service Bulletin is published to advise operators of A320 and A321 aircraft of the issue of
Goodrich Interiors Service Bulletin Nos. 2427-25-001, 2428-25-001 and 2431-25-001.

Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will contribute to avoid potential delay of passengers evacuation
due to the partial blockage of the path by the Cabin Attendant Seat pan.
