Hello guys, My name is Shubh Rusia and today I am going to be
expressing my views on SDG 4. The SDG or Sustainable
Development Goal 4 was developed by the United Nations to ensure that education is provided to one and all. This is increasing thanks to the efforts done by the countries around the world but still a whopping 58 million children are denied the right to education. Education should come as a fundamental right according to me because it can reduce poverty, make help people make right economic decisions, improve health and can change attitudes within us for empowering women. We all must remember that education is a powerful thing and can help us in our lives yet 250 million children who don’t go to school and go to school aren’t provided proper education so they can’t read, write or speak properly. Well, the 2 main challenges faced in quality education are the lack of qualified teachers and proper infrastructure and resources for teaching. Did you know that 12.6 million primary teachers are yet to be recruited by 2020. Students like teachers face problems like the lack of learning facilllites and learning resources to learn from. Let me tell a fact that in some countries there is 1 textbook for every 14 students. This is the cause that students can’t learn on their own pace because when one is slow the other can’t learn and fights shall break out which is not good at all. To achieve Quality Education we must strain, equip, value and support proper and qualified teachers, global investments in education, data collection and the right policies must be implemented. These are just a few aspects for quality education that I have stated here. Remember, Quality Education is for the World we want. As an individual child, I can donate learning resources and donate money to real fund raisers for the education of poor students so they can be successful and better versions of themselves. These are my views on Sustainable Development Goal 4, I hope you enjoyed my speech. Thank You
