DISC DIFFUSION OR WELL DIFFUSION

Preparation

From Iran's hilly Zabol and Kerman districts, Peganum harmala, Echinophora platyoba, Rosmarinus
officinalis, and Heracleum persicum were harvested and chopped. 10 g of the plant's dry powder
was combined with 100 mL of methanol in a half-liter of erlens to create the extract. Using a shaker
with a 130 rpm speed, the contents of the erlens were blended at room temperature for 24 hours
before being filtered using Whatman paper No. 2. The extract and solvent were then separated
using a rotary device and a vacuum pump (vacuum distillation). The resulting extract was weighed,
then dissolved in DMSO solvent and stored for use at 4°C in the refrigerator.
