Title: The Effects Of Having OFW Parents On Dominican Students’ Behaviors And Well-Being
This study aims to know and understand the experiences and perspectives of students from Dominican
School Manila on having OFW parents that might have taken a toll on their behavior and well-being. This
study could be done through different online platforms that are conducted using surveys. This survey
contains questions that has multiple choices and will be answered by respondents who have OFW
parents and those who have not. Since the limitation of this study is high, random students from grades
7 to 10 will answer the survey, as Junior High is one of the stages where teenagers develop their
behaviors that not having their parents’ presence and guidance is a vital contribution to how they
behave. Teenagers at this stage are more susceptible to many kinds of distractions and addictions such
as drugs, alcohol, and such. It is crucial to consider that not all students have parents that are OFWs;
that is why we will survey approximately 100 students who will be chosen randomly to ensure that at
least 60% of the respondents are suitable for us to show our research thoroughly. If the target
percentage of the respondents is not achieved, the group will conduct another survey to a new set of
respondents until such rate is met. Once we have gathered all the information, we will break down,
analyze and identify the factors of having OFW parents to how they act, adapt, and behave with other
people, especially with older figures.
