Jovit Baldivino, ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ winner, dies at 29

Grand champion and singer of “Pilipinas Got Talent,” 2010 (season one) Jovit Baldivino has
passed away, his family confirmed in an official statement via former Star Magic handler Jerry
Telan.

He died at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 due to brain aneurysm.

According to a radio report, Jovit was confined at Jesus of Nazareth Hospital in Batangas on
Sunday night after collapsing at a party and falling into a coma for five days.

His partner Camille Ann Miguel made a public Facebook post of a photo of the two of them
together with the caption “Asawa ko” in all caps along with crying emojis. Her post was
immediately flooded with comments from netizens expressing their condolences.

A former siomai vendor, Baldivino rose to fame after competing in the reality talent
competition show “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010, where he eventually emerged as the grand
winner.

The singer is known for his hit songs “Pusong Bato,” “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin,” and “Mula sa Puso,”
among others. He recently appeared in an episode of the game show “Family Feud” in
November 2022.

Vergeire said that an aneurysm is a condition in which a person’s arteries weaken. Arteries
carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the different parts of the body.

She said that aneurysms can develop in the abdomen, legs, brain, and heart.

“Most of these aneurysms go unreported or undocumented because, usually, once the patient
arrives at the hospital, it’s already at that late stage where no scanning can be done to confirm
that it is really an aneurysm.” she said.

Vergeire said the common symptoms of aneurysm are severe headache, dizziness, chest and
stomach pain.

She said risk factors include smoking and genetic.

The DOH official advised the public to avoid unhealthy lifestyle such as smoking and have
themselves checked by a doctor.
