equipment.

 I understand its safety features and how to carry out Pre-operation, daily routine and log book
maintenance.

 I conform I am able to safely operate this equipment and I agree to comply with safety
instructions.

 In the event of being unsure of a task, I will request further training or instruction before
performing the task. I have the right to refuse an instruction if I consider it unsafe.

 Emergency Operation:        
                          

 The Operator should be able to act quickly to stop the winch operation and apply hand / leg brake
as well as mechanical latch so that the winch drum will be stay put.

 If the operator finds the load moving on its own either upwards or downwards how he will react.

 The operator should have full knowledge to check the rope route and critical points to be
checked.

 The operator should have the knowledge of various types of pulleys and its arrangements.

 The operator should be a good electrician and should be fully aware of the electrical system of
the winch.

 He must check the anchorage of the winch daily and record the findings.

 He must check the condition of the rope throughout the length on a daily basis.

 He must check the end connections.

 Before taking any load every time he must check / ensure no crossing of wire rope or any
crossing of welding cable / earthing over the rope.

  Knowledge of reaving of pulleys (multi sheave pulleys) will be an added advantage.

 He must have the knowledge of auto-reaving of the rope at the drum.
