    RMS Value
    RMS (Root Mean Square) or effective value:
    In A.C. is the amount of current that produces the same degree of heat in a given
    resistance as an equivalent direct current.

    The RMS or effective value of a sine wave is equal to 0.707 x peak value

    When an AC voltage is given or measured, it is assumed to be the effective value


    unless otherwise indicated.

    Average Value
    They are described as Vavg, Iavg.
    To calculate the average value = 0.637 x peak value (2/π x peak value)
