Activity 1

1. A group of your friends has been given the contract to prepare one hundred lunches for the
form 5’s Professional Day. Suggest FOUR factors, apart from financial considerations that are
important when planning and preparing the lunches.
2. Write a three course menu for a meal.
a) List the ingredients needed for EACH dish.
b) Make a shopping list for the meal under the headings GROCERIES, VEGETABLES and
FRUITS, MEAT and FISH
3. Suggest appropriated packaging for taking the meal in 2 above with you.

1. Research and give the definitions ( with the aid of pictures) for the following types of meal
service:
a) English Meal Service
b) American Meal Service
c) Family Meal service
d) Plated Meal Service
e) Buffet Meal Service

ACTIVITY #3
1. You are planning the Opening of your restaurant. Write up a sample for any two menu styles
that will be offered.
