disadvantages and offering recommendations into improving it.

REPORT

Introduction:
The aim of this report is to develop my experience on the work experience
period I recently had completed as a shop assistant, and to offer different
recommendations into improving it.

Advantages:
On the one hand, regarding the advantages of this shop assistant work
experience period, I think it was a complete success that we were given the
opportunity to interact with customers and advise them so that they could make
the best purchase decision. After all, as far as I’m concerned, knowing how to
deal with customers is essential in this job. In addition, another quite remarkable
advantage was the knowledge granted to learn running a local and managing
daily situations with customers and coworkers. Communication is also a very
important aspect at these types of jobs.

Disadvantages:
On the other hand, from my point of view, there were also some disadvantages.
Unlike the learned knowledge, the organization and the work space were very
poorly organized. As many people attended that work experience period, there
were lots of issues regarding organization, and it was hardly impossible for
them to pay attention to us personally in case we had any doubt. As I think
communication between customer and shop assistant is very important, I also
think it’s essential the communication between professionals and people who
are trying to learn something.

Recommendations and conclusion:

In order to sum up, as a recommendation, I think it would be a great idea to
organize two or more different groups according to the amount of people
applying this work experience period, so that everyone has the opportunity to be
attended and for having bigger work spaces.
